There is a review below me reporting they were charged double. And we were. We were foolish enough to not walk away. We were hungry. If you are reading this, you probably looked at the menu. And whatever you see, is a joke. One, they have no idea what is on their menu. We wanted two burritos de lengua. They said they didn't have burritos de lengua. It is right there on their menu. $9.45. We asked for tinga de pollo. They didn't know what it was. She asked for explanation of what it was. On the menu it showed "chicken tinga". Chicken Tinga Burrito, $8.95.
We were charged $16.95 each for a Lengua Burrito. When we called this to "Maria's" attention, her response: "Well, when you see prices like that, you should call." Um, really?
Now, I understand that sometimes, things may be 'outdated'. But nearly double? A screenshot of the prices in online menus ($8.95), the Facebook page menu ($9.50), Yelp (12.00), DoorDash ($10.00), AllMenus ($12.00) don't even come close.
The food? Fair. Now my husband is from Mexico, And we eat at Mexican restaurants every where we go. And I usually review them. As a former chef and a Mexico traveler and one that eats Mexican food all the time, there were some odd things. One, when you go to a Mexican restaurant, you smell the food before you go in. Be honest...don't you? This place had....no smell of anything. Also, FYI - Pupusas (though I enjoy them) are not Mexican and I seriously doubt you will find them in any traditional Mexican restaurant. Just minor details, but they stick with you.
The food? It was ok. Certainly not worth $34.00. And they never attempted to honor their posted price. Nor does it appear that they care enough about their business to correct these LARGE discrepancies.
One star was generous.
