They are closed to non-JHU associated people since covid and have no plans to reopen to neighbors

I was refused service because “I am not a Peabody staff”

Note: cafe is open but for students and faculty of Peabody only! ID enforced. Students only coffee shop. Came to Peabody, had a meeting and tried to grab a coffee and Apple fritter. Coffee was Zekes. Setup with cream in a different room uncomfortable. I went to get cream and was told "students only!" But, but, need cream for my coffee. No cream for me. Faculty ID from another campus doesn't count. Fritter was fine.

I love the clean, quiet atmosphere. Friendly service, delicious coffee and pastries, and affordable prices! I’ll be back again and again.

Dirty nasty place with rude employees . Too many good places to go . F this place . The school administration are also rude as hell. The place will be closed soon

I tried to order a mocha, but Maestro's was out of chocolate. So, I ordered a cappuccino and a blueberry muffin. The cappuccino was fine, but I asked the person who gave me the muffin what kind it was, as there were no blueberries in it. "Blueberry," she said. "See?" She turned the muffin all around trying to find a blueberry, turned it upside down, and pointed to the SOLE blueberry on the bottom of the muffin. I ate some of it before throwing it out because a muffin with one blueberry is NOT a blueberry muffin! I couldn't believe she didn't just give me a different one that had blueberries in it.

Maestro's is an excellent place to do work! The staff is very friendly and professional, the wi-fi is excellent, and there is a good selection of food. They also have security on site.

I liked this place. The coffee was good and so were the sticky buns. The place was nice and spacious.

I work at Peabody and this place is a great way to step away from the desk and get outside. It's small but cute. Coffee is by Zekes. Food is good.

It was in the area I was at. The salad was fresh and the tea was good. Prices are average for this area. I left satisfied.

The service is appallingly slow, if you're in even a moderate rush forget it. The coffee is sub par, the pastries kind of gross, although it is a nice place to study.

Maestro's Cafe is located within John Hopkins Peabody Institute's music and bookstore. It is located at the heart of Mount Vernon and open to the public which is why I'm surprised there isn't already a review! Anyways, it offers your basic cafe necessities: pastries, coffees and tea. On the more interesting side they offer Two Leaves Tea-- whole leaf tea in those fancy pyramid tea sachets annddd they serve fair trade organic coffee... I forgot the brand, but I'll update this next time I'm around Mt. Vernon. During my visit I bought a small Red Velvet Coffee for $3. The red velvet flavor wasn't overwhelming but it was still good. There's a cute nook by the door I sat at that featured a vintage white bistro set, but there's also a wide room with plenty of tables and couches for relaxing or studying. Yeah, I'd say this is a pretty boring review, but I'll spice it up once I soak up more of its offerings. Oh yah, the baristas were all very nice! Always a plus for good service.
