I used to drive by this place almost every single day as a kid but never went there until recently and I'm so glad that I did! think they remodeled it recently and now it's such a great spot! The staff is all so nice and the food is prepared very quickly and is super delicious. It's my dad's absolute favorite spot for asian cuisine and whenever I'm home from college he takes me here. I love all of their specialty sushi rolls.

The outside does not have a very inviting look, just plain and simple. The design quality is on the inside. Once we stepped in, we were amazed at the decor, definitely gorgeous. We were greeted and seated promptly and drink orders in a flash. There is a lot of substance to the menu, and I would be surprised if they did not do it well. It smacks of quantity and quality from start to finish. The lunch specials, available 7 days/week, were looking pretty good, a something for everybody. They came with a generous entree, soup of choice, shrimp (1) spring roll, and choice of fried rice or white rice. The Wonton soup arrived quickly. Honestly, the broth portion was on the light side. It would do better with more flavor. The actual wonton was great. The main dishes arrived before we had finished the soup, now how's that for service? They each looked so good, and the aroma was awesome. My husband got his "go-to" dish... Shrimp lomein, it had a decent amount of medium-sized shrimp throughout, not just on top for eye dressing. It was really good and he left nothing to bring home. I got the Mongolian pork. This is a new dish to me, and I would order this again without hesitation, and it was just delicious. What really impressed me was the texture of it, a distinct vegetable al dente, and the pork was well seasoned and tender. Plus, there was plenty of sauce for it, which, in my opinion, is above and beyond desirable. I do wish we should have ordered a pot of tea. After thoughts! Others who came in were ordering it. The serving staff was highly professional in apparel and politeness. They were very On Pointe. And above all, reasonable prices, our lunches with a can of pop was just over $20. Also, they have a busy carry out business There is plenty of free parking.

Once a gem at its old location in Towson, now just another Chinese restaurant. The sushi and rolls were out of this world, now they are at best standard. Time to move on

I love their food!! the lunch specials are a treat as well as their prompt and good customer service. There's never a lot of customerswhen im there for lunch, but the takeout call-ins orders are busy. I found out a few visits ago. This Orient restaurant is the same restaurant that was located in Towson for decades. I've frequent them for 25 years. Between their lease and the pandemic, it caused them to relocate location. What I can say is that those who dont know. They have a gem to discover.

Very average restaurant. They recently renovated so it is not the dump it was. I had sushimi and it was just okay. Ordered the special spicy tuna appetizer and it had no flavor. I'd say 2.5 stars is appropriate for my experience today. I will come back to try a Chinese dish before I write this place off entirely. Service is lacking in personality, very bland.

This place is so top notch, I'm doing another review. We had been on the hunt for a legit Chinese restaurant for a while and The Orient was exactly what we were looking for. The food, including the sushi, is delicious and always fresh. The staff is super friendly. Service is fast and prices are great. We love it! Cannot recommend this place enough!

This is by far the worst Chinese food place ive ordered from. You call to order and the person that answered was extremely RUDE. I ordered hunan beef because ive been CRAVING spicy food for over a week and Hunan is supposed to be HOT i said no mushroom add water chestnut and carrots. I also ordered vegetable fried rice and a side order of vegetables. The “hunan” beef they gave me had no carrots, sugar snap peas and broccoli not to mention NO SPICE OR CHILIS AT ALL!!! Fried rice had absolutely no vegetables including onion peas or bean sprouts.. literally nothing. call back and the man says chef forgot.. human error… i didn't pay for human error i paid for hunan beef. Offered no refund no anything. I said how about this you write my name down and ill come tomorrow he goes ok. Thats it. Ill never order again infact i wont even go back for the fresh hunan this is a place that will probably spit in your food.BIG FAT ZERO FROM ME. Thanks for the awful food and the experience to match.

Pretty good food. However, the young Asian waiter was very dismissive and seemed uninterested in giving us good service, though he gave better service to the surrounding tables. So first and last time @ this restaurant.

Food was ok, I really thought it was more of bigger variety type of place but honestly it's just a regular Chinese carryout in more of a restaurant setting. Interior was a little dated but still cute. I do recommend the shrimp toast, that was the only thing I really like. My husband got the white tuna and yellowfin sashimi, he said it was ok as well, wasn't fresh though. I would not recommend their sushi menu! I gave this place a try and others should too. Maybe I'll go back again and try something different (MAYBE). I was just hoping for a more authentic taste. Other than that, this is just my opinion. Friendly staff as well.

A staple of Perry Hall. Very friendly service and really tasty food! Was a bit disappointed how long it took to reopen the seating area after Covid, but happy to say it’s back to normal! Never tried their sushi but their Chinese food is on point. Definitely recommend.

10/10!!! This was our first time dining in at this particular location since they reopened. Since covid, we could only order take out or dine in at their Towson location. This was the best experience! The food was delicious it tasted better than the take-out. It was packed, but the service was on point. No complaints at all! Loved every dish!
