Lady taking the orders on the phone today was a complete jerk; so much that I told my bf to leave the food and we find somewhere else to eat but we only ended up at Petes because it was Sunday and nothing else was open. The French toast was horrible; tasted like bread. Usually when you order eggs with cheese, the cheese is scrambled in, they just place a slice on top. I will not be returning!

This restaurant is always my go to for breakfast. I like the old feel of this resturant. Great staff, all family. Great conversation with all of them, and the person that takes your order is not the only person that checks on you, any person walking behind the counter does. It so friendly.Kid-friendliness: The vibe in the place is family, I take my grandkids ages 5,4,and 3. All the time.

Sent my husband for breakfast ordered online and when he returned one of the orders was missing -mine! He called and went back for it but we live a few miles away in each direction. A major inconvenience for otherwise simple order. It was tasty once received. My daughter liked the French toast and bacon and my husband’s veggie omelette was good even reheated in the microwave. I would try again perhaps a a sit in guest than carry out.

If you want a great meal at a good deal, come here. Although they're open only for breakfast and lunch, you get large and delicious portions at a reasonable price. The place has old Baltimore charm in the Waverly area. The burger, with no sides, is too big for me to eat for one meal. Come to dine.

You can't say much about Pete's other than the fact that it's fast, cheap, and consistent. I came here years ago to order take out and recently returned to dine in and all the food was exactly as I remembered. The inside is small with just one long counter for dine-in service. The kitchen is open so you can watch the cook whip up piles of home fries right in front of you. The service is lukewarm but nice enough. Coffee and water never went unreplenished and everything came out fast and as requested. I got the one egg platter which came with a choice of meat, a choice of home fries or grits for the side, and a piece of toast. I omitted the toast from my order and opted to get both grits and home fries as my sides (for an upcharge, of course). I also got bacon as my choice of meat. I actually don't looove eggs but these were pretty good - perfectly cooked in my opinion. The home fries were a very generous serving and delicious. The grits were a little lackluster, even with cheese added in, but I'd probably put in butter and more pepper next time. My friend even told me she crumbles up her bacon into her grits here which is a tip I'll be using next time. The coffee was pretty meh but what do you expect? It's just a classic, straightforward diner. The entire meal for my platter and my boyfriend's omelette was $27. In this economy? Not bad at all. Just be aware, they only accept tips via cash or CashApp!

Food is amazing but unfortunately there is a clear roach problem going on within the building. Went to eat inside and one crawled up from the customer side of the counter going towards the cooks side. I haven’t went back yet.
I was so disappointed of how ignorant the owners daughter is and that the fact that the owner let's that happen, petes is not tye same, the girl jenn, who is the owners daughter thinks she is above evyone only because her dad owns the restaurant, she forgets that we are the costumers and without costumers there is no petes. I will never comeback, here is the storey of my experience, I order a burger I asked nicely to please tost my roll, she said no but they were willing to do it for the guy sitting next ti me. The cook kindly said I'll put it on the grill and she made a huge scene there in from of me , cook said nobody wants to hear all of that specially costumers she said out loud , I don't give a fuxk who is listening I don't care, I was like wow , while there was more people in there with kids, she kept going about to where the cook had to apologize to me for all the embarrassment.. bottom.line good luck, ain't coming back , you guys wonder why people don't wanna come back , that's why. Do better, she needs to be fired. Too disrespectful.. thank you

Perfect diner breakfast! The pancakes were awesome, but be warned they are the size of hubcaps, so order wisely. ?Counter seating only, no tables. This allows for great service and a coffee cup that is never empty. Highly recommend ?
