This place is amazing! Tucked away in the Hollins neighborhood, it's such a gem. Upon entering, we were greeted by the beautiful smoky and welcoming energy of Shauna. The ambiance was chic, simple yet decadent. The food was pretty great and the customer service exceptional ! Definitely check them out!

I am so happy we happened upon this wonderful establishment. What a hidden gem! Everything we had was absolutely amazing, from the lemonade, rotisserie chicken, broccoli, confit potatoes, and the burger! Every person who served us was so friendly and welcoming. This place popped up on my Instagram a few times and we checked the reviews and they were great so we decided we would stop by. We did not have reservations, but it wasn't really crowded so we were able to get a seat right away. It's a nice place, but small. Good music and vibrant atmosphere. Service was 10 out of 10 from the time we walked in until the time we left. For appetizers we had the coddies and the charred shrimp. The coddies were like codfish fritters, and they came with crackers and mustard. I Haven't had anything like that before but it was pretty good. The shrimp was shrimp. No sauce or anything just some charred shrimp. Flavor was minimal. For dinner, we had the duck confit with potatoes and kale Caesar, and the rotisserie chicken. The chicken was small did not come with any sides. We also had collard greens and mac & cheese on the side. The duck confit meal was solid. Nothing stood out, but everything was good. Could have used a little more seasoning. The rotisserie chicken was average as far as rotisserie chicken goes. I am assuming that's their specialty, but it didn't really hit the mark for us. Flavor was minimal. The demi glaze didn't really add anything to it. The collard greens were good. The mac & cheese was just okay, mainly because there was no flavor. Just pasta and cheese. We had to get salt to make it edible. I ended up taking most of it home so I could doctor it up. For drinks we had a half carafe of lemonade and sorrel. Very tasty. Definitely get the half carafe if you're used to refilling your drinks. We got 5 drinks out of it. Also, they do not serve liquor, so it's BYOB. They only had one option for dessert, which was crème brûlée. We decided to go for it and it was as good as any other crème brûlée. There is contactless bill payment, which is a nice touch, with 18% gratuity added to the check. After reading all of the 5 star reviews, we had very high hopes, but the food didn't wow us this time. We will definitely keep an eye on this place, and may visit again in the future.

Absolutely loved Rooted Rotisserie! From the excellent tasting food to the warm and welcoming customer service, the experience was wonderful! The rotisserie chicken is the BEST I have I ever had. I highly recommend checking them out. I will definitely be going back the next time I'm in Baltimore.Parking: There is a parking lot very close by that is free after 6 pm and very inexpensive during paid hours.

A friend and I came here during the CIAA weekend to enjoy a good meal; and boy did we have a good meal!! I'm not Vegan or Vegetarian, so the fact that I ordered the Mushroom bowl and Kale Caesar said a lot!! The Mushroom bowl was visually beautiful and equally tasty! The house made drinks were a big hit along with the Mac & Cheese. The servers and staff were great! The whole spot was just comfortable and relaxing.
