Yelp fam This review is going to be a little bit different. We didn't actually get to dine in at rye street but we were able to get the thanksgiving kit for the holiday. Honestly it was amazing!!!! Side note Big Shout out to my Fiancée for cooking the Turkey Like a BOSS! The order was A 15LB turkey Salad w walnut vinaigrette Mashed potatoes Corn bread Cranberry sauce Brussels sprouts Honestly Yelpers I didn't know what to expect, I was hoping for a great meal. That's exactly what I got, it was truly a feast. I hade exactly 2.5 plates of food before I was out for the count. One thing for sure is that I can't wait to try more food from Rye Street. The way everything was packed, the ordering & pick up process was so easy. Thank you Rye Street for the amazing Kit! Cheers!

I've visited the street tavern several times since moving to Baltimore and have had very positive experiences every time! Located in port Covington, you will have to drive/uber but the view and experience is worth it. There is plenty of free parking. The atmosphere both outside and inside are amazing. Right on the water, the outdoor seating provides a great view of the south harbor. Inside, the wooded, tavern feel is sleek yet cozy. Staff are super professional and friendly. The menu is great - lots of small apps make it a great place for drinks and snacks with friends. Then the entree selection provides delicious meat and seafood dishes. I've especially enjoyed the steak, rockfish, and rib entrees. They serve delicious warm cornbread before your meal as well which I love. Plus, you can't skip their delicious desserts, featuring homemade ice cream including one that incorporates whiskey from the distillery next door! I have dined outdoors here during covid and was impressed by their careful consideration to spacing, easy access to hand sanitizer, and ability to create a welcoming ambiance despite restrictions. I have also attended a private event in their upstairs space and thought it was great. Excellent service, great menu, and beautiful harbor views!

This was our fourth time back here since last March. Each time, we requested outside seating. We love the fact that tables are far apart from each other’s and they have an excellent heating system outside. Our original reservation was for lunch on Saturday, but the restaurant called us three hours ahead of our reservation to let us know it was too windy for outside eating. The next day, it was perfect weather and we were able to reschedule. We ate brunch/lunch with two friends and everything was delicious from the fish and chips to the shrimp & grits to the burger etc.... Such great food!

I am so thankful that I ordered my thanksgiving dinner from Rye Street Tavern this year. I've never been able to visit + eat on-site, so they were first on my list to get our goodies from. Let me tell you, the sides were tasty. We ordered the mashed potatoes, collard greens, and the Brussels sprouts. Now I added some more acidity to my greens, but for the most part, it was definitely 5-star quality. The package also came with their salad, their speciality cornbread, Sagamore-spiked gravy, and their cranberry sauce that had a pinch of orange to it! It also came with their apple pie! Wow, when you read it all like that, what else am I missing? Well, I'll tell you. The TURKEY. We had to cook the turkey, and to be honest, I was a little nervous. We had one that was 16 lbs. But not to fret, their directions put me at ease and the glaze was phenomenal. It came out tender and very flavorful due to their brining process. Thank you all for such a great holiday dinner experience!

I was really looking forward to going out to eat here. From past experiences and what I saw online, I was expecting a relaxing, intimate, quiet dinner. As someone taking COVID precautions very seriously, safety was my primary concern. I browsed their website and Facebook page and was very impressed with what I saw - specifically I was impressed by the photo of their outdoor tent with all the sides tied up so the tent was completely open. To top it off I noticed they also had live music the so I decided I would make a reservation here for my boyfriend's birthday. I figured it would be a nice and romantic experience. I was very wrong. When we arrived there was a host stand outside which I was impressed with, however, he told us that we had to go INSIDE to check in for our OUTDOOR reservation. Weird... I went inside to check in and there were a lot of indoor diners so I didn't really feel comfortable being in there but it was the only way to check-in for our reservation. After checking in the host walked us to our table in the tent. I was expecting all the walls on the tent to be tied up so that it would be fully open air (as advertised). But instead, only two small openings on either side of the tent were open and the rest were closed off. I was surprised as for November it was a fairly warm night. I asked the host if we could instead sit in the fully outdoor area on their patio. He told me that those tables were only for the bar menu and not full dining. I was a bit surprised that they couldn't accommodate our seating preference when I was paying so much for the meal. Our server at our table in the tent was friendly but it was incredibly hard to hear her. The live music was extremely loud. Between that and the bright lights in the tent, it seemed more like we were eating in a crowded cafeteria than a high-end restaurant. Because the music was so loud our server had to pull open her mask when she spoke to us - which was not something I felt comfortable with. I would have preferred not to have a server and just order online than have her open the bottom of her mask while speaking to us. On a positive note, the food was delicious.

Okay, I had been meaning to check this place out all summer! I was intrigued by the outdoor seating area and waterfront views. Unfortunately, I didn't make it; however, it was surprisingly worth the wait. The food: The Parmesan oysters - unexpectedly delicious (I'm normally a raw oyster girl!) Massachusetts oysters- yummy! Had to get more Steak- Mouth watering Crab cakes- no, not at all! The crab meat did not taste fresh. I would not recommend! Ambiance, very nice. Gives a chain restaurant feel, which is why I didn't expect the food to be great. I like the subtleties and upstairs lounge area (see pictures). There was lots of space. When I went, the dinning was at like 15% capacity, so I felt safe. I would come back here and do recommend it.

Another fantastic evening at Rye Street Tavern! Covid safety - all of the tables are spaced far apart, there is no concern at all for the patrons next to you being too close. They offer outdoor seating along the water in a heated tent. We came on Wednesday evening and they even had live music. All of the menus are QR code's on the table. They do offer paper menus if you need. All of the food is delicious, skipping ahead, my favorite item to eat here always is the ice cream! The portions sizes are small but it's worth every penny! We tried the prime rib, the steak tartare, the rst tower (well worth the money), and the pumpkin pie. The RST Tower is one of my favorite things to order here, it has a wide range of seafood on it, from from oysters to clams, to steamed shrimp and some poke', but my absolute favorite thing in the tower... has to be the ceviche! There ceviche Is delicious with the perfects mount of acid to heat ratio! Yum! I'd come back again just to eat that and the ice cream, lol I'd recommend this place for a girls night, an anniversary, a date night, or just to celebrate! We go because it's a Wednesday and we made it that far in the week!

We went for a date night a few weeks ago. The seating at the time was in a very large tent on the lawn was very adequately space between tables. All staff was in masks and attention to detail was made in order to keep distance to the extent possible. Water his place on the tables and guess where to refill their glasses from a pitcher. We tried the cerviche, several vegetable dishes, and a main. The dishes that stand out the most, are the ceviche and the vegetables. In particular the mushrooms had a really nice smoky flavor to them and were very meaty. The meal was good, however nothing in particular stood out. The view cannot be beat and if possible try to face the water. The grounds are also really nice to walk around.

Great atmosphere whether it’s with family or on a date. All of the food was amazing. Highly recommend going with whatever the chef’s special is, that kitchen team knows what they’re doing. We were talking about their rigatoni for three days lol

Why try Rye? It's hands down one of the best restaurants in good ole Balmor, hon! Perched next to Sagamore Distillery in the Port Covington area, the restaurant is near the water in a rustic setting. The service is amazing and the food is out of this world. Not being able to decide on one of their traditional cocktails, the server asked what I was in the mood for. They brought me back a concoction of all sorts of yummy ingredients in a martini glass. Thank you, may I have another? Yes, I did. My friends and I began with the crabcake appetizer and East Coast oysters. Entrees included the Cider-Braised Pork Shoulder, Wood Grilled Rockfish, Blackened Catfish, and Famous Southern Fried Chicken. Pineapple Upside Down Cake finished off a fantastic meal of three courses and cocktails. The service was excellent, as well as every single dish we tried.

We have been here so many times and it never disappoints. Amazing food, stellar wines, incredible service. What more can I say. Scott, the beverage manager, is the best and will always steer you to an amazing choice. Sunday brunch is also fantastic. Can't go wrong here!

Beautiful location! The food leaves a lot to be desired! I've been here several times, tried appetizers during an early eve happy hour and also weekend brunch. Found nothing particularly compelling, delectable or appetizing about the food! I would recommend this venue for purely ambiance and drinks, which are a bit pricy as the location is waterfront.
