My dad and I both got the catfish bites (mine hot honey glazed, his honey Old Bay) with greens and mac and cheese. Catfish was crispy and well-seasoned. Greens were soft and full of flavor. Mac and cheese was baked with plenty of broiled cheese bits. Fruit Punch tasted homemade and absolutely scrumptious. If you are craving real-tasting homegrown SOULFUL soul food, do not miss this place!! Alysia was our server and an absolute delight— super sweet, chatted with us when she wasn’t busy with other diners. Just park all around!!
First time here at Bertha’s Soul Food Bar and Grill. Upon walking in we were greeted pleasantly by the young lady at the counter. We decided to dine in and could choose our own seat. The space is not huge but still nice. My daughter had the Pan seared salmon with rice, Mac and cheese and collard greens. I had a cheesesteak and fries. My daughter enjoyed her food as well as I. The atmosphere was cool, there was a good mix playing when we came in but soon a DJ came in for karaoke.

I really enjoyed my food,two big Turkey wings over yellow rice,mash potatoes with gravy and collard greens. Very good I recommend them. Very soulful. I’ll try something else on the menu next time.

The food was GREAT! I had the Turkey Wings, string beans, and yams and it was all delicious! They were airing women’s basketball which was a bonus for my wife and I who were visiting the area. Our waitress Lynette was great! She was able to recommend all the best dishes and our drinks were made well ;-)They have a small bar area but overall we thoroughly enjoyed the vibes. Definitely seems like a place that can get back pretty quickly; we managed to beat the crowd. The music was good service even better, and food was the BEST! Great BLACK OWNED business to support if you’re in the area.
Staff is always really kind, food is really good, and the restaurant/ bar is a fun atmosphere.

Whoever does the writing on the bags for delivery THANK U! I feel it’s really personal! Those little hearts make me feel appreciated as a customer. The food is always good. Dine in service never misses a beat.
The chicken wings were awesome as were the hand cut french fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. The lemon pepper wings were a bit too salty. The music was too loud to have a conversation in the dining room therefore, the restaurant could consider turning it down some so that people can talk. I would return here.
