Souvlaki is the cutest restaurant in Hampden. At first glance, it appears to be a small bar with trendy touches. At least that's what I thought until I went to use the bathroom, which was spotless by the way. This place is huge with lots of nice touches that make it such a nice sit down spot. We ordered the spanakopita and platters to boot. The spanakopita was delicious. The pastry was super flaky with just the right spinach to dough ratio. My platter was huge. Honestly, we probably could have shared as we both had plenty of leftovers. My lamb was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I tasted the potatoes and honestly wished I had chosen the fries over the rice. The potatoes were nice and crispy whereas the rice had some type of mint flavor that i could have done without. It was not nasty, I just believe it wasn't my preference. The service was great. I saw that they had plenty of regulars. The music was pretty good too. I would definitely go back for sure.

Souvlaki Greek Cuisine is HEAVENLY! Although I had read amazing reviews on Yelp, for some reason I wasn't expecting their food to rock my world the way it did. First, I have to mention the gorgeous inside of the restaurant which had a clean, floral aesthetic. The staff was so incredibly friendly and knowledgable about everything on the menu (our waiter was Greek himself)! And last but not least, the food was INCREDIBLE.... every single thing we ordered. Here is what we tried and my ratings: - Bifteki A La Carte (8/10) - Any Three Spreads; hummus, tzatziki, tyrokafteri w/ pita (9/10) - Phyllo wrapped feta (10/10) - Merida; platter including greek salad, pita, greek fries & chicken kabob (10/10) My mouth is watering just thinking about their food. The balance of salty, savory meats with fresh greek salad and fluffy pita bread. Overall, this would easily be a top 3 favorite restaurant for me in Baltimore and it's nestled in a cute neighborhood called Hampden (great local shopping and restaurants). If you love Mediterranean flavors, this place is for you!

This is a beautiful Mediterranean-style restaurant. I mean, it's gorgeous inside. The staff was very kind and attentive. I did not love the octopus, but I'm always weird about super chewy octopus. The drinks are as good.

With a bit of a wait and a confusing situation down situation, I enjoyed my time at Souvlaki. Arriving closer to 7:30pm on a Thursday night, there was a back up in the kitchen that affected the wait time for food for both the sit down and pick up crowd. When it came to grabbing checks and other things, waving down a waiter or bartender was the only way to grab service. Their decor was beautiful, and I loved the aesthetic that the space provided. Lamb was delicious, Greek fries were alright, pita and the sauce was a great pairing, and the salad was good.

I definitely love the renovations they had at this place! It's so huge and so beautifully designed inside! I met up with some friends for dinner and we all left full and happy. The service was quick and friendly as well! I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter which definitely was enough for 2 meals. We all shared the platter of dips which was delicious. Definitely worth trying out for dine-in!!

The location and decor are the the best things about this restaurant. The lighting was dim which made reading the menu difficult. The service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy. The food was just ok - nothing was hot and my shrimp skewers tasted like they had beef cooked hours before. The baklava had a good flavor but was hard. Overall I would not recommend.

The food here is absolutely delicious! When you walk in the decor transports you to a warm Greek island. we went there as walk-ins since we were in the neighborhood and they were quick to seat us however the waiting area is quite small. The dining room is very large and there are lots of different spaces that can accommodate several group sizes. I would say the prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are good. The only side was that since the dining area is so large it was difficult for us to get our servers attention. Their server came out with her food in a timely manner, however, didn't check in on us after the food was out we wanted to pay our bill and head on our way. However, it took us a few minutes to get the servers detention since she was handling several tables in different rooms.

First time visiting, apparently they just renovated & it's super cute inside! Def a chill Greek vibe! Enjoyed lunch with a friend. We each got the lavender lemon drop with was delicious but I didn't notice a lavender flavoring. We shared the zucchini balls to start & they were really yummy. I got the lamb pita, my friend got the chicken. Both of us cleaned our plates! Will return!

Ambience and restaurant decor was modern and beautiful. The service was excellent. You must try one of their specialty drinks the ice pick was amazing. some of our favorites were Taziki, eggplant spread village salad and the combo platters!

I usually love the food here but tonight, I noticed my chicken souvlaki tasted like something was missing. I open it and there is NO CHICKEN. The restaurant is now closed as well as other others. This was quite disappointing. I also noticed they put a salad in my bag that I didn’t order. I don’t know if that was a mistake or to make up for not having chicken? If it was, my number is on the order. I would’ve preferred a call and a refund instead so I could get food someplace else.

My husband and I came here for lunch. The restaurant has nice decor. I think the wisteria is a nice touch. We must have been close to the bathrooms or something because I could smell that generic bathroom cleaner scent. Not exactly appetizing. I love going to restaurants where you can smell all the good food being cooked. All I could smell was the cleaner. The waitress was fine. Not friendly, but not mean. She did not check to see if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our food. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki. Honestly it was a bit dry and there was nothing special about it. I was hoping it would at least be marinated in something. If it was I couldn't tell. It was very plain. The sauces are the only flavoring for the meat. My side salad was pretty good and my husband enjoyed his Greek fries. The rice was fine. The one thing we actually really enjoyed was the pineapple chili margarita. It was pleasantly sweet, spicy and tart. I don't think we'll be coming back here unless it's to get a drink.

I got a chicken pita wrap with Greek fries and both were so good! The wrap was super packed with everything, very filling and stuffed with toppings for such a small looking pita! Everything was wrapped nicely and nothing got soggy despite delivery. I just wish the fries were covered in some sauce, while the cheese and the flavors are great, they're kinda minimal and they don't give the fries the drenched feel I was looking for. I'll probably try a different side next time!

My jaw genuinely dropped when I came to this Yelp page, because I can't believe I haven't reviewed Souvlaki yet! Let's get right into it. This is the perfect spot for takeout, dining in, and enjoying immediately. They recently got a new expansion and the restaurant is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and quite spacious - it's perfect for parties. My servers are always kind, soft, and prompt! All of the food here can't be beat - the gyros all come with fries on them, which made me want to cry tears of joy when I first discovered it. The hummus here is divine, the lamb is fantastic, and I'm also a HUGE fan of the chicken. I feel like I also need to mention the affordable prices on this menu, especially for the portions you get. It's so good there that I always forget to take pictures! LOL. I always try and bring a friend here for lunch, and they're never disappointed!
