This little gem is a terrific place to get great food! It is open longer than other places around it for those days when work keeps you from your regular lunch hour. The owners are super friendly and will bend over backward to make sure you are satisfied. Service is always fast and efficient. The sandwiches are genergously stuffed and the salads are always fresh and crisp. I have been a customer for years and have had consistently delicious food each time I come here. Check them out, you will be glad you did!

Best lunch spot in Baltimore with the kindest owners. Reuben was delicious. If I worked closer, I'd come by everyday.

Great selection. The chicken salad is good. I appreciate the fact that she has some healthy selections on the menu as well. She is a nice lady and always very upbeat. She will even allow you to bring money on your next visit if you're short but you have to watch the prices. The price will be posted on the board but she rings pretty fast and increases them while ringing or the prices can change on a weekly basis.

The store clerk gave the man in front of me a free coffee. As she was ringing up my coffee she said "its because he pays $5 for his coffee everyday". I said "Thats so nice!" Then she says "Not you though" then in the same breath thanks me for the N95 masks I gave her. I've noticed she's been holding a grudge ever since I pointed to and asked for a danish with extra frosting. She snarkly replied "its the same thing". Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from her dirty, rat infested shop whose only positive feature is its proximity to work.

Good variety of items. Every sandwich I've had has been good. If you like chips with your meal, I swear they have every type of chip imaginable. The owner is always very upbeat and happy. The service is very fast.

I ordered the beef bugolgi expecting it to be wonderful because the previous Friday two gentleman had ordered it while I was trying to decide what to order (my first time being there). I was impressed with the amount of food they provided for $8. So, today I walked 5 blocks to place my order. When I got back to my office I opened it and to my surprise it was nothing more than (literally) shredded cheese steak beef soaked in their "special sauce" (tasted like nothing more than terriyaki sauce) over a bed of white rice and ice berg lettuce covered with ranch dressing (which had begun to curdle from the heat). I normally don't ask places to exchange food because I've worked in the food service industry and I can appreciate how hard of a job it can be. However, I felt inclined to request an exchange because it was no way I could eat the dish as prepared. Plus, I had spent $8 and I was looking forward to a good lunch. I called "Take Away" back and requested to exchange the dish. The owner, in an angry tone, told me to come back in and then hung up abruptly. When I returned to the store I exchanged the meal for a turkey club which was only $6. I ordered the turkey club because I thought it was no way you can mess up a turkey club. I was wrong. When I opened up the sandwich it appeared the owner had literally thrown some processed turkey meat, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a bun and wrapped it in aluminum foil. Needless to say, I ended up throwing the sandwich away along with the beef bulgolgi because I honestly didn't believe I could even give it away to a homeless person in good conscious. I will never spend a dime in this place again. Terrible customer service, terrible sandwiches, terrible beef bulgolgi, and super high prices compared with other shops in the area.
