Currently visiting from out of town, and stopped to get some treats on a Friday morning. Everything in the display cases looked amazing – cakes, pastries, etc.I purchased a cheese danish, cherry turnover, a banana muffin, spanakopita and a prepackaged pack of 3 plain croissant.I was so disappointed- literally everything that I purchased was stale- VERY stale.The croissant was not flaky and tasted flat and old. Same with the pastry portion of the cheese danish and the spanakopita - and while the cheese portion of the danish tasted ok, the spinach filling in the spanakopita was completely inedible. It was so hard I could not even bite into it and I ended up throwing the entire thing in the trash. My daughter ate a few bites of the cherry turnover, but likewise, it was hard and she ended up throwing it out as well.While the establishment looks clean and the presentation of product is beautiful it falls far, far short in taste and quality. I've had fresher tasting pastry from the grocery store which is unfortunate because I love bakeries and I love supporting small business. I will most likely not return.

I try to find any reason to visit Yia Yia's ? I loveeeee the Carmel Cup & the their regular butter cream cakes.
I used to buy my birthday cake every year never had an issue with the cake always good but when I tried to order my bday cake not that long ago one of the ladies that help take custom orders lied on me and said I was being aggressive never happened always respectful then the supervisor or manager started to get aggressive with that was out of line and never got an apology I don’t know if it was a race thing but that’s unprofessional how she went about it ??

The building was lovely. The staff was courteous and the Smith Island cake was pretty. I had hoped that cake would be the perfect end to my Easter dinner I hosted. It tasted TERRIBLE. It had an overwhelming oily taste snd smell. 1 star for customer service and 1 for neatness.
I had a peice of baklava from Double T diner on Belair Rd last night and it was the BEST baklava I've ever had and Ive tried a lot of baklava cause its one of my favs. My sister and father agreed. Double T told me it comes from Yia Yias and I just had to give you your flowers. So good!!
