This was our first visit to the Lodge in quite some time and it was very good. Madison, our server, was friendly, polite and always had a smile. When she brought beverage refills, she brought small pitchers so we didn't run out. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was also very good. I had the Southern fried chicken sandwich which was fantastic. Lightly breaded and juicy. The wife had the Honey Bear wrap which was also good. The only negative was the portion size for the mozzarella skewers but overall it was a great experience.

The lodge used to be a friendly and pleasant dining experience. We have enjoyed the food, drinks, and great service since the day they opened. Sadly, the new management has turned it upside down. The aggressive and intimidating manager acted like a mafia boss scaring both staff and the customers at our last visit. We witnessed a poor woman being told by him to basically "get over it" , it's no big deal" after the waiter accidentally dumped dressing on her clothes and purse. Buyer beware!

Unfortunately one of our favorite places has the worst new management we have ever experienced. Intimidating and unkind we feel bad for the staff. We won't be going back until they change their customer service ways and treat their staff better. I suggest everyone should think twice before eating here.

Had lunch there, and the server poured salad dressing all over my jacket. While they offered napkins to get it cleaned off, the manager was very rude when we told him the stains had not yet come off entirely and we would like to be able to get back to them in case the jacket needed dry cleaning. Wait for food and drinks was long--worst customer "service' I have had in years.

Former frequent customer, rockfish tender appetizer used to be 6 now 4 for the same price of $14,chicken sandwich same price 1/2 the former size, substitute fries for an additional cost 1/2 former portion.same great service but shrink flation.not sure if there is new ownership, either way a bad business decision especially for a restaurant that thrives on regular customers, won't be back

The Hickory Lodge has been one of our Go-To restaurants for years...We have always had great service, food has been good. However, recently, I took my adult son to lunch on March 29, and brought takeout food home to my husband. Food seemed fine, service was exceptional, had a great experience. Then I got home. Immediately, I had to get to the bathroom for a nasty experience in the bathroom, multiple times. A short time later, my son was in the bathroom having the same painful and awful experience in the bathroom. About 30 minutes after my husband ate the carry out food I brought home from Hickory Lodge, he had the same awful experience in the bathroom. My daughter, who DID NOT eat food from Hickory Lodge was the only person who DID NOT get sick. I called and spoke with the manager, Roger, who was polite, but suggested that gastro symptoms usually appear 24-48 hours after eating and we should consider where else we had eaten previously, as that may be the culprit. We had not eaten out previously and mind you, my adult son does not live at home and had not eaten with us in a week, so it is quite suspicious that all 3 of us had issues within an hour of eating food from the establishment. (Adult daughter who did not eat there was just fine....). I asked for a refund of the food since it made us all ill, and the manager told us he would reach out to the owner. I received a call the next day from Roger, who said he had spoken to the owner and she has decided not to refund or comp us for our misery. I cannot say I would recommend eating at this establishment after our experience and we likely will not return.

10/10 recommend! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. There are several seating areas! We have no complaints. The bartender was very helpful and polite! She actually gave recommendations and she did not fail us. The crabby fries were so delicious I forgot to snap a picture. The blueberry bourbon smash isn't on the menu but she had to problem making it for me. Stir fry - made to order and was finger licking good Meatloaf- the way it was inhaled I knew it was good I can't wait to go back and the try different things

Overall, I caution my friends that the food is mediocre in moderate quantities and rather over-priced for the value you get from plain food

Hickory Lodge. Spare ribs nice, artificial smoke in BBQ sauce. Everything salty. Brisket sandwich bland & tasteless. Service friendly but slow. The rustic decor is amusing. The cooking is primitive.

I went there for one drink that cost 8 dollars took forever to get amd there were 10 people in the bar. I left a 2 dollari tip for lousy service and the bartendar took it upon himself to get a 20 tip. This is THEFT in my opinion. Watch your wallet when going there

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. We had a large family reunion and Gracie was very easy to work with setting it up. Well done!

When I was in town for a wedding, the bride and grooms families hosted a rehearsal dinner here. It was incredible service, and the food was delicious. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come by again. Highly recommend!!

Food was absolutely amazing! Definitely try the Crabby Flatbread and Alpine Fries! The dip for the fries was to die for! We got the Avalanche Burger and the Crisfield Quesadilla for entrees. Both were so flavorful! The interior of the lodge is intimate while the outside has a lovely area to sit and eat + a bar for the weekend crowd.

One of our favorite places to go. My wife and I have been there several times and it never disappoints. We are always promptly seated and the wait staff are pleasant and friendly. It's a large place with a rustic style. The menu is extensive and the food is very reasonably priced. We plan to go there next week to celebrate my birthday. Crab Cakes are excellent.
