Withe the many choices for Chinese carry out in Bethesda, this gem has become our go-to place. You can't beat the China Cafe for consistently excellent dishes, with big helpings, always served with a smile in this family owned bistro. Try their General Tso's Chicken!~ it is superb.

Best hot and sour soup in the area. Spring rolls are perfectly crispy and fresh, not greasy like most places. About to dig into this chicken lo mein!I have great respect for the owners. They take pride in their craft, and value the personal relationships built between them and their customers. It’s no surprise they’re not on third party delivery apps, and not a concern. Give them a call and I promise they will take care of you!

I usually don’t order Chinese food, but when I do I usually do regret eating it. Unfortunately it left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken and it tasted so bad that it had no taste and they added way too much sauce. I couldn’t even eat it. I wasted $9. I felt like I just threw nine bucks on the toilet. ?

It's really not that great came for lunch. Got the orange chicken and received the smallest portion. For what I paid I could've got double at another place. It's honestly not great. The lady didn't want to give me hot sauce or anything. Would not come again.
This restaurant has great food at reasonable prices and absolutely lovely owners. It's my favorite restaurant in the area, easily!

If you order lunch special, you get rice, vegetables, and the choice of half portion dishes of your choice. For $7.99, I think it's a good deal given the location of this carry-out place. Parking is also aplenty and free right in front of the restaurant. Something that I find definitely noteworthy is how consistent their service and food quality is. I can order lunch or dinner on any day of the week or days and I seldom ever wait more than 10 minutes. My favorite dish of sesame chicken always tastes fresh and not sickly sweet or overfried. I love it! There's no hit or miss moments. So, if you work nearby, or better yet, live nearby, I'd definitely give this place a go. I promise nothing brings comfort food better and quicker than here.
