Absolutely loved it! The rolls are delicious and perfectly done. I got California Roll, Spicy Shrimp Roll and Eel Avocado Roll; the atmosphere is so calm and clean. I was hesitant to try but it’s a most, I may have found my new fav sushi place.

Delicious sushi and rolls! I got red snapper, salmon, a spicy white tuna roll, and yellow tail, and the pieces were all thick with great texture. They made a mistake on my order but fixed it immediately and even gave me free miso soup.

Ordered tempura udon for delivery. The soup was delicious, but for the cost (similar to the other local places) I was expecting an array of tempura and there was just 2 pc of shrimp- no vegetables.

Their sashimi is excellent.Parking: They are across the street from a County lot that is rarely crowded. Metered but reasonable.

Back before cranes dominated the Bethesda skyline, Maki Maki was one of dozens of small, affordable, family-run restaurants. Here you’ll find delicious sushi, tempura, udon, mochi and more without the pretense of many newer Bethesda restaurants. This is a casual place, so come as you are. Maki Maki closed their dining room for years during the pandemic and just reopened it with a fresh new look. The Lasagna Maki (tempura shrimp with avocado, topped with crab, cream, spicy mayo and eel was fabulous, Everything was good, and we especially enjoyed the pork gyoza, udon vegetable noodle soup, saki, and more flavors of mochi than I have seen anywhere. Red bean, green tea, strawberry, mango and vanilla mochi were all delicious. Mochi portions were small, which I appreciated. There is a parking lot across the street and Maki Maki is in walking distance from most Bethesda hotels. From Wisconsin Ave, enter the second side entrance on Highland Ave.

Waiter was sweet and was more than happy to help us out. We are not from this area at all and wanted something quick. This place gives a cozy vibe and it’s very quiet (in our experience). I got the California roll and the Lasagna roll, they were both delicious 10/10. Good people ? left a nice tipVegetarian options: There are multiple veggie dishes, as well as a few veggie sushi rollsDietary restrictions: They do say on their menu if an item contains peanuts, and it lists most of what you’ll find inside the sushi roll for easy allergy peace of mind

Very disappointing sushi and miso. Both tasted stale and not fresh.

Ever wonder what train station sushi goes when it's not sold? To Maki Maki. Oy vey the worst I've ever had. Fish is not fresh. Seaweed salad not fresh. The California roll takes like slippery shrimp that's been dried in the sun for a week. The only thing preventing one star is the friendly, polite staff.

Good quality fish, BUT I wish Sushi was more 50/50 fish/rice like most places ( it's too much fish!)

My shrimp tempura roll was old a chewy and my spicy tuna roll fish was not fresh. When I called to inform they just said we could have done better on your tempura roll…really like no kidding and your spicy tuna that’s just how its suppose to be no ma’am this is raw fish we are talking about.VERY unpleased with my sushi wish I never stopped in won’t be back.
