Got seated right away but the waitress was very grumpy and forgot our desserts and looked like she did not want to be there.

Wanted to like this spot! Came in on Sunday afternoon for a coffee - stood at the counter for 5 minutes until 1 of the 3 people behind the counter decided they would take my order. It felt very awkward standing there with no acknowledgment while they finished up their conversation before saying, “what do you want?” I ordered, was given a number and went to sit at a table. It took 20 minutes to bring my latte out - I wasn’t in a hurry otherwise would have gotten up to ask about it.Overall, the staff and service left a lot to be desired. There are much better options around (like Tatte).

Great salmon dishes and drinks! Service was slow, but okay because they didn’t interrupt.

Maman is my absolute favourite spot for a cozy coffee and pastry. The ambience is charming, the coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are divine. The staff are very kind, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for those who are pastry lovers.Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.

I came in on Monday with a friend and it was a great experience! The honey lavender latte was so good and the manager at the counter convinced me to pair it with the pistachio croissant.I’m coming back again for sure !

This cafe is cute, it was the 2 of us and we got seated at this small table by the window. Honestly this shouldn’t even be a table for 2 it was that small. Our server was awful. She wasn’t friendly AT ALL or helpful. The kitchen was closing in the next hour or so that that was her first words to us. Then it took her forever to come around and get our order. Everything came out on top of each other and we had no space they just dropped it off and we had to make room ourselves… they didn’t offer to take the plates they saw us trying to stack and get out the way. It was unfortunate because the spot is really cute the food was good but the service and that table killed it for us. I would have sat at the community table at that point. We had to ask for water. And the check I found the waitress on our way out, she wasn’t attentive.

Atmosphere is really nice, food is fine, service was really strange. Came with 2 other friends once and our order was very simply but they ended up forgetting my entree entirely and also brought out the wrong beverage for my friend. Don’t know what to make out of that.

Rarely have myself and my family felt so unwanted at a restaurant. The service was dreadful…and it was apparent we didn’t “fit the image or demographic” as others (who didn’t look like us) were immediately afforded a chance to order upon arrival. The restaurant was not terribly busy either (mid-afternoon). We sat for nearly 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. We actually thought, after so much time, that you ordered at the counter. The food came out at vastly different times. We ordered water with my son’s meal…to which it never came until we begged for water (and then it was served in a manner inconsistent with the other tables). The lattes and cappuccino had obviously been sitting at the counter for a long time as they were barely warm when we received them. We waited nearly 15 minutes for our bill…watching staff help others with their bill (who arrived after us). Only when my family left (I waited for the bill) did the staff “take notice” something was different. The was a horrible experience that stains the image of Bethesda Row. I will never go back because quite literally I am not the customer they want in their store.

The food and pastries we got were fine. The service was really poor. We waited really long for food to arrive, and even warming the pastries took a while. There's a lot of potential but at the price point, the expense required needs to be improved.

I usually do not write Karen reviews, but the service workers were hilariously smug. I asked if the drip coffee had refills. A simple and reasonable yes or no question. The batista took a few seconds to look at her coworker and roll her eyes, then looked at me and said no. I paused in disbelief, flabbergasted by how blatantly rude they were. Not a respectful service culture, especially for the price I paid, and will not go again. If I saw my employees do that to a customer, that would be their last day of work.

stellar drinks and stellar people! some highlights:their frozen forest matcha latte. utterly superb. strong, smooth matcha flavor with notes of umami. the bitterness of the matcha is well balanced out by the vanilla, and the mint adds some freshness to the drink. wonderful mouthfeel. arguably some of the best matcha you'll find in the dmv (even better than specialized matcha spots, such as kyoto matcha / matcha cafe maiko). their cookies. tried practically every cookie on their menu. my personal favorites: the vegan sesame dark chocolate tahini (sweet, savory, and splendid) + the nutty chocolate chip cookie (a classic. buttery, chocolaty, everything you could want from a cookie). each and every one of them is wonderful though! really couldn't go wrong with anything. only negatives imo are their breads (banana bread, butternut squash walnut, etc) -- they're just a little bit too dense for me! i know some people that enjoy it though. prices are also a bit steep.
