Cozy, small-ish restaurant with exceptionally friendly owners and staff. All of our meals were excellent.

#Bethesda #American Had salmon and calamari and dessert forgot the names. But mostly generally all good and we enjoyed here

Persimmon has very attentive service, lots of great menu options, and a nice buzzy atmosphere that is cozy and not too loud. Our favorites were the tuna tartare and blue cheese ravioli with truffle sauce. I love that they have so many seafood options. Don't miss the sunset dining from 5-6pm M-F: 3 courses for $45!

My favorite dishes here are the smoked trout spring rolls and the crab cakes. Apple crisp is wonderful as well! Always have a good meal here. Usually it's hard to choose! The only dish that I wouldn't order again is the pasta with shrimp and scallops.

Parking is not free, that is the worst part about this experience. The food is okay. I needed salt but the waiter never came back. I ate my food as is. Wouldn't return as there are too many places with similar menus, free parking and better options.

Came here on a weekday with two work friends while in Bethesda, MD. It's a nice cozy place so it's best to have a reservation. The host made us feel welcome and asked for our seating preference. We chose to get seated at a corner table. By definition, a bistro is a small, casual restaurant with a relatively inexpensive, simple menu. Judging by the interior and the menu, they lived up to being an American bistro. I had the Daily Fresh Catch which was Chilean Sea Bass with a mélange of shrimp, asparagus, potatoes, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and lemon butter sauce. This was delicious and the flavors was just right. The different flavors complemented each other. We shared the Trio of Profiteroles for dessert. It was three cream puffs with vanilla ice cream, drizzled generously with caramel and chocolate sauce. I root for places like this. They have delicious food and the unpretentious service they provide makes one experience joy.

This place does seafood right. So much flavor. The owner interacts with every customer and is a great guy. And lastly when taking into account the quality of the food, the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately one of our party's orders was incorrectly ordered by the waiter and he didn't receive his food until the others were almost finished. The restaurant gave us a free desert for the problem. Other than that the food was excellent

I ordered a French 75, pecan crusted lamb, and crème brulee. The French 75 was nice, it was my first time trying it and I would order again. The lamb was delicious and the mashed potatoes and spinach paired well with it. The crème brulee was okay and the reason why 1 star was removed. I love crème bruleee but this one did not have any vanilla beans so the flavor was lacking, but the brulee was a perfect thickness.

I've been going here since it opened. The food is varied and always great...specially love the mussels, duck, wasabi crusted oysters, antipasto board (the chicken pate is particularly good) and the chocolate martini mousse. Many dishes have lots of chopped up veggies which are done very well.

Absolutely amazing, food, service, ambiance, location all amazing. My friends and I went for dinner just before going to an evening concert. We had the trout spring rolls, mushroom ravioli and shared. We got a second round of the trout spring rolls. The mushroom soup good, I got the Shrimp and scallop pasta, one guest had the fish of the day, another got the roasted chicken, and the pan seared scallops, all AMAZING! Portion size is fitting for dinner. We didn't have any cocktails this time, but plan to on our next visit. See you again soon Persimmon!

Great food, everything was tasty. The cocktails were very good. Dining room is a little crowded and noisy. Service was spotty- often felt ignored. Sunset 3 course fixed price dinner was a great value.

I really like this restaurant. Bethesda has many options but, even so, not many good ones. Persimmon is usually a favorite of mine. On a Wednesday night at 7pm the place was packed. The appetizers were terrific. For my entre I ordered the special: osso bucco served over noodles. It wasn't terrible, but it was incredibly bland. I actually had to ask the server to bring salt and pepper to the table to try to add some flavor. The dish was disappointing. Should have stuck with seafood which they do very well at Persimmon.

The food here is very good. Delicious mushroom soup, great tuna tartar, and just-perfect medium-rare filet-mignon with mashed potato. The only thing that could be improved is the scallops, a little bit too salty, but other than that, all great and astounding! ??
