Went for lunch and tried the sign option of the taco tornado burrito. I enjoyed it with the red screaming sauce and was satisfied.

I would like to share that Cindy, the manager at California Tortilla,is very kind and caring and friendly. She makes you feel welcome. She shows that she cares about her customers. The place is clean and inviting to order your food and stay, to eat it there, if you would like. Thank you Cindy for all that you do to make sure that our experience at California Tortilla in Bowie Maryland is a wonderful one. Thank you so much.

I was visiting from Texas and the Tex Mex is not the same. I ordered quesadillas and they weren’t the way I am use of.

This is the third time they have gotten my order wrong. I have even put in the special instructions box that I don't want salsa and they still put salsa on my taco. They do not pay attention to modifications.

Apparently you will be charged a different price depending on who is at the register. I get the same thing every time I come here a blackened chicken Caesar bowl with no rice no beans and I want extra salsa. Instead of substituting these salsa like they always do this guy wants to charge me 80cents. It's crazy and all I'm getting is lettuce chicken cheese and tomato in my bowl.

The food is absolutely wonderful, the staff were kind but not overly attentive, and the atmosphere seemed a little stale. It may very well be that I had gone on a Tuesday afternoon and they weren't very busy, but that's my take :)

I called in my order for a quesadilla and it was nice and fresh. Priced well too and it's a good size. Not one of those flat quesadillas you get from other places. I also got to spin the Monday wheel and won free nachos and salsa my next trip.

In 1988, internationally-renowned, animated film director, Hayao Miyazaki spun an original story about two sisters, Satsuki and Mei, who moved to the Japanese countryside to help tend to their ailing mother and discovered the cat-like ghosts, Totoros, and ebony dust-bunnies that would spark their senses of wonder and joy and erase their concerns and grief. But what if the Totoros were no longer native only to the Japanese meadows and forests? And what if the giant yet cherubic cat-buses in the United States ferried the Totoros to and fro on the weekends so that they could purchase dishes that sparked their own culinary memories and joy? What if, instead of persuading their passengers to choose entrees akin to what the Totoros enjoyed in their previous lives, deboned rainbow trout and succulent salmon and luscious albacore tuna, the Cat Buses intended for the Totoros to choose something new? What if, in Maryland, the cat buses with dinner-plate-sized eyes for headlights, shuttled the gatherings of Totoros to 3941 Evergreen Parkway in Bowie, ostensibly for burritos, fajitas, and tacos? There, at California Tortilla, they would discover that the one dish that quenched their immortal and adorable palates was identical to the only one that exhilarated my wife's and my own culinary curiosities: their Turkey Chili, one of the best we have found in Maryland.

I have always thought the Bowie restaurant does a great job. Lately I think they have been slacking. Ordered a BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and that was not what I was given. The cook claims what we were given was a BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and claims the sticker on the box indicated that’s what it was. That’s not what I bit into. The BBQ Chicken Quesadilla has actual BBQ sauce. What I got was a plain old chicken quesadilla. If I wanted the plain chicken, that’s what I would have ordered. How are you going to claim it’s a “special” item when the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla is on the actual menu? Highly disappointed and was left hungry.

I was in the Area for the New M Lounge! That's next to Mezzeh and across from Party HQ. And I was Hungry after going to Harris Teeter!.. Took my mama to Lunch!! I stoped in here for a Southwestern Salad! Was greeted by Michael he was nice and very much helpful I usually have it for lunch but my bff brings it and we split it !!.. so I got one with tomatoes and one without with the honey lime and mango sauce mixed it it was really!! .. this will definitely be my go-to for Salads!! It was thick niice pieces of grilled chicken and it keeps you full and it's no croutons just a healthy delicious grilled salad!!

This location has turned around nicely. It used to be pretty run down looking, but it's now a nice location to sit and eat. I knocked off a star because the burritos are mostly rice, for the price I always expect more veggies and meat. But the kids like it so I keep going back. Kids meals are a good price.
