My experience was horrible, I was greeted with an attitude from the older lady behind the counter. I guess we were taking too long to decided what we want , so she had the younger lady to help us , she was polite but wasn’t much help with explaining the menu. Small meal means alcart not what you read on the menu board. I don’t like rice and she give it to me anyway. My order was 8 wings and plantain . I got rice and beans ,2 plantains and 5.5 wings .I’m so upset I can’t say what the taste like bc I’ve lost my appetite

I ordered jerk chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta and waited 45 mins and spent $32.00 for some cold noodles. They must’ve ran out of chicken so they used gristle because those chunks you see is not edible.

I Ordered jerk chicken and was seriously disappointed. This chicken had all this watery brown liquid sauce on it but tasted bland on the inside and a little sugary on the outside…. I suspect they probably mixed bbq sauce with a little bit of jerk. It’s an insult to Jamaican food. This is going in the trash.

Although the food is great, the service is of course like any other Jamaican restaurant. Subpar, the food is decent though. I wish they would open more Jamaican restaurants. It’s so good.

First time getting food was today and it was GOOD. I had the stew chicken dinner. The chicken was tender, which was the most important thing to me lol. So I’m happy.

My family loves Jamaican food, so we are always trying different places. This place, is the bottom of the barrel and the worst food, atmosphere and service we've ever endured. It was my husband, young son and myself that went into the establishment. First off, it should be illegal for workers in the kitchen to be coming out through the front door drinking a bottle of liquor and then smoking Marijuana out front of the establishment. Had we seen this before we ordered, we definitely would not have ordered any food. Every single was disgusting. The rice and peas had no flavor and was extremely dry. The coco bread had no sweetness to it and was like eating a loaf of bread, very plain. The beef patty was the worst I've ever had and even that didn't have flavor. The jerk chicken was anything but, it was basically roasted chicken and didn't have any jerk rub/sauce on it at all. The cabbage, yuk, no flavor and was hard like it wasn't cooked all the way. The oxtail was ok, but for the price, the portion was very small. The eskovitch had no flavor as well and my husband was very disappointed. As for the establishment itself, it was filthy and I'm very surprised the health department has not shut them down. Overall, I would never recommend this establishment to e wn our worst enemy. If you want really good and authentic Jamaican, the best we've ever had is judys island grill in Glen burnie. They've never disappointed.

Do not go to this place, their food is not a good representation of the Jamaican culture. Their cabbage is tasteless, the beans and rice are bland and the jerk chicken is dry you can choke on it. I have heard a lot of bad reviews but i thought to give it a chance. It was not enjoyable at all. The only thing that i could actually finish was the coca bread. So i rated honestly.

Today was my first time trying this establishment after craving caribbean food. The music ?, customer service ?, the brown stew, and cabbage were good, but they needed a kick of spice and more of its seasonings to make it?.But once they let me try some type of spicy sauce with onions and peppers.... it was sooo good!!!! I believe he said it typically goes on the fish. And the plantains and jerk wings with extra sauce on the side ?and it satisfied my craving. This was all served with rum punch, which was balanced well. Overall, definitely glad I decided to stop in. Definitely looking forward to their Happy Hour and upcoming events....we need more nightlife/social events like this in our area.

I took a chance, despite my last selection & I was horrified by the skin left on rubbery oxtails, which was doused in vinegar and sauce to mask the unfavorable.. Not only that the cabbage was served raw, (it shouldn't be, it should be sautéed and was also vinegar laden, like it was being Brined, & put it on the plate raw... it was not edible, despite the frozen veggies sprinkle on top of the heavy ladened rice and congealed peas.) I couldn't eat any of it... and I'm so disgusted and disappointed, turn off is not even the word... I don't think I can revisit. This is unfortunate as I had been once before and I liked the curry chicken; be that as it may, they got this wrong... I'm feeling so disgusted and grossed out; $40+ dollars later ...My mistake... I took the Loss and am so turned off that I probably will hold off eating out for a while now; when you know better do better. When I tell you trust me, I mean it. Don't.

I am a huge fan of Jamaican food and recently had the pleasure of trying out Gettis Island Spice. Let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! I ordered the brown stew chicken and a curry chicken Patti, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The brown stew chicken was cooked to perfection, with tender meat that practically fell off the bone. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with just the right amount of spices. It was accompanied by a generous serving of rice and peas, which added a nice texture to the dish. The curry chicken Patti was a pleasant surprise. The flaky pastry was filled with a flavorful and aromatic curry chicken filling. It had a slight kick to it, but not overpowering. It was the perfect handheld snack and I couldn't resist having a few more bites than I initially planned.Unfortunately, I was on my lunch break and couldn't dine inside the restaurant. However, the ambiance looked inviting and I spotted a cozy bar area where I would have loved to sit and enjoy my meal. Next time, I will definitely make it a point to dine in and soak in the atmosphere.I will definitely be going back for more. If you're a fan of Jamaican cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!
