My husband and I weren’t greeted when we walked in. Co-workers were more into their conversation than they were to take our order. Smoothies were good!

A STEW

Twice I came to this location after working out at a nearby gym and both times I was met with an attitude that said "We're closing and not interested in taking your order. The 1st time I was told that they were only able to make 3 specific smoothies. The 2nd time, I was told they were only able to process online orders. I arrived at 8:20pm both times. If they no longer want to serve people after 8pm, why not just make that their closing time?

Originally I ordered on Monday through Uber Eats for delivery. My smoothie was a small Banana Berry Treat with Frozen Yogurt. My smoothie was not properly blended and missing the frozen yogurt. I reached out to make them aware of the situation and it was handled appropriately. I wasn’t able to go the same day for a remake. But I went today to see if they could do it. The young man (sorry if I am using your wrong pronouns), took care of my request appropriately. Unfortunately the person who made my smoothie did not make it correctly again. I used to work at Smoothie King ( a different location) and I know how it’s exactly supposed to look and taste. There was only water, strawberries, papaya juice and a lot of ice when it was put on the blender. The blender was basically overworking and extra loud because it was forced to blend. The smoothie tasted like complete ice. The young lady there got an attitude because I said you can’t even taste the banana and stuff is missing out of the smoothie. Thankfully to the young man he remade it completely over and it tasted better. I now see I won’t be able to order a smoothie without being in person. Simply due to the fact I have to make sure everything is made correctly.

Great experience. Service was prompt. I got the island impact smoothie. It's a blend of pineapples, mangoes, papaya juice, apple pineapples juice, and a protein blend. You can also add other ingredients in if you'd like. I think next time I may add ginger for fun. Also they currently have a special running with a red velvet smoothie. It looked interesting. The blend I had was very good. They had me in and out quickly. Great customer service and smoothie, will return.

I used to go to this location FAITHFULLY, bypassing the one right by my house. However, lately the quality of the smoothies has not been up to their usual standards. The smoothies have been consistently bland. I’m used to consistent flavorful smoothies from them. Not so much anymore.

it's not that they opened late. I get it things happen. It's not that I didn't get my smoothie. There are other locations close to my job. But it is the fact that the owner and manage of the Bowie, Maryland location (there's only one) of Smoothie King did not take ownership of their error. It is the fact that I had to take time out of my day to call and go back to the store to get the run around. It is the fact that when completing their survey and I asked to be contacted, I never was. It is the fact that the refund that was supposed to post back to my account in three days still has not posted (this 12th calendar day/the seventh business day). September 28, 2023 @ 7:42 am, my order that was placed around 7:30 was to be ready for me to pick up. I arrived at 7:41am (I know, I was early) To find the lights off and the doors locked. I saw another customer walking away from the door (smoothieless) and a delivery truck in the middle of the road (maybe waiting on them to open up). I walked up to the door anyway and yeah it was locked. I waited for a minute to see if anyone was moving around inside; there wasn't. So I left and went to their competitor instead (I was on a schedule). the next day, I called to store and told them I needed a refund and why. She took my name and order number, and phone number for the manager to call me. No call. I went to the store that evening and spoke to a manger. He told me the owner automatically refunds for any orders not filled due to opening late. he also told me that it would take three days to post to my account. I asked about the $2 reward used to make the purchase and the manager was more concerned about them giving me an extra $2 in case the refund included the reward vs providing even adequate customer service.Trust is powerful thing. Once it's gone it's hard to get back. I trusted Smoothie King in Bowie, MD to prepare my order as I requested and (this is the important part) make it available for me to pick up. Ordering ahead is great because I'm on a time schedule on mornings and waiting in line is inconvenient. So I have no intention to go back to this location because I don't trust them. Would have given 0 stars since I got 0 smoothie, 0 customer service, and 0 satisfaction.

My husband went to this location this afternoon I told him to get me a strawberry pineapple with spinach smoothie. The ingredients were right however it was a vegan one it was a way to sweet. I went in for an exchange and the young lady tells be we don't replace smoothies I said well can I have my money back she says no that's where she messed up. She got her manager on the phone my husband and I talked to her after telling her she wanted to offer me a kids size drink when I had a 20oz drink absolutely not this smoothie king place in bowie has lost my business for good I will be giving my money to someone else the manager was not willing to work with me. Not only that the line was incredibly long stood in line just to get them to make it over and still didn't get what I was asking for 1hour gone down the drain for some policies that I have never heard of. Smoothie king has got to do better. $7 smoothie that you could have easily replaced but didn't want to do that smh do better so disappointed

Would not serve me an açaí bowl at 8:40pm when the store doesn’t close until 9:00pm… Workers were dismissive and extremely rude.

Customer service was not pleasant at all rude very unprofessional staff.... I wanted a refund because my smoothie tasted bland and basically taste like water.... There is no refund policy Sign.... After I asked for a refund they said only thing they can do is remake it over one time and did not give me a refund.... After reading other people's reviews I'm not alone in this is unacceptable.... I will be doing a follow-up complaint with corporate office.

Was excited to try smoothie kings smoothie bowl for the first time. I ordered a bowl and added honey. After receiving my order I asked the worker if honey was added & was told it was. After trying it and not being able to taste honey I asked the worker to remake or refund me. The worker was rudest employee I’ve ever came across in my entire life. She told me that they do not do remakes or refunds. Which I know is a lie. I really wanted to escalate the situation but instead I left. She told me if I wanted more honey I would have to pay. I asked for her card, turns to find out she is a “manager” name starting with a T. Unprofessional and disgusting employee. Will never return back.

Walked in waited and waited, then left! There were 4 people working and not one acknowledged that I was there. I was actually kind of glad because it was also a mess in there. There were drinks and cellphones on the counter, my guess is they belonged to the employees. Next time, I have a great idea to get a smoothie in Bowie...I will not!

My daughter & I just walked out because no one was working!! Stood in line for over 5 mins and nobody took our order!; the employees were playing around, joking as if they were home!! Unacceptable & unprofessional!

I frequent this location weekly and Ia always happy with the service and my drink. I was so excited when smoothie king started selling smoothie bowls but I hate the fact that the fruit isn't fresh but frozen. I will stick with my usual smoothie.

The employees are rude. I get you're busy but don't tell me my order will be ready in 2 minutes then make me wait an additional 20 minutes. Then I nicely Sid to the employee you guys have to communicate with your customers better and she got an attitude. The employees barely acknowledge you unless you are placing an order. I won't be going back here anytime soon.
