I was at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant in Brandywine, MD and was eating my food and music came on with lyrics "suck my dick." I immediately got up and asked for the owner (Asian) and asked him to turn that disrespectful music off because I did not want to sit there and eat my food listening to such lyrics. I also said there are families and kids here eating. The Asian owner told me "I play whatever I want, it's my restaurant." I replied, "yes, in my black community, why don't you go back to Virginia open a restaurant and see if they accept this type of music." Then when I got back to my seat at the bar, the black bar server told me I'm the manager, why don't you talk to me. She had an attitude when I arrived and always rude. I'm done with people coming to our communities thinking this is acceptable because no one says anything! This restaurant is not family friendly nor Christian friendly. This type of music does not belong in a neighborhood where children dine. We are treated this way because we don't say anything! Yes, I will speak up and out against this type of environment! I do not want to hear music about sucking dicks while eating my food! PERIOD

Hands down the best restaurant in the area, especially the best Japanese for miles! The chefs are great, food is delicious, the service is amazingz and the female owner is so sweet and accommodating! Stop reading and just go there! You'll love it!

The food was very good. We were celebrating our daughter's 24th birthday on February 20th. Thank you to the whole dining room for joining us while we sang Happy Birthday with the Stevie Wonder spin on it to our daughter. This place is cleaner than Japanese Sakura in Waldorf. I saw no bugs!

Came on a busy Saturday night but was still able to be seated right away. Had the hibachi and sushi. Not the best I’ve ever had, but both were strongly above average. Service was great and food was brought out promptly. Would return again.
Literally waited almost 30 mins to order food to never have the waitress come. When leaving, she ask why we were leaving...Mind you, she never came by to even take drink orders.

Amazing service and food. The chef was beyond amazing and I thank him for his hospitality. My brother has a medical condition and cannot intake a lot of salt. The chef apologized (when he did not need to at all.) and brought out a new steak specifically for him.

Food and the grill chefs were great. What killed it was the server telling a guest that the chef that makes the sushi was upset and threw the plate against the wall. Why are you telling anyone this?
