This was my first visit to this establishment. The wait was not long and the service was decent. Prices about average? I consider it disappointing that they can run out of cabbage/greens/yams before closing. Tried both the pork ribs (St Louis style) and beef ribs, and both shined on their own merits; I was extremely impressed with both. The green beans tasted fresh. The GUMBO! The gumbo is soooo good. Some of the best I've tasted in the DMV. Deep flavor and it had a little spicy kick too it... I love it. The catfish is also good. Their cornbread is like cake, it's so moist and good. I'll be back to try some of the BBQ.
I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I like how their service is always fantastic and they keep the spot clean consistently. Rates are reasonable and they serve large portions.
