They started well with the food when they opened but now it has changed to be the fried chicken with potatoes they don't even bread it before if they breaded it and they even added potato salad and now they only give the chicken and the potatoes if they continue like this they will lose the clientele because I Personally, I don't like it anymore so the owners must step up to the plate with the quality of the food so that the customer is satisfied and returns.

We are visiting from California and stopped by this quaint little restaurant and enjoyed Freshly prepared Fried catfish, cheesesteak sandwich, mac and cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoes, grilled catfish, catfish nuggets, cornbread, all so delicious!! We ate before thinking of taking photos LOL

Placed an online order at 2:52, it was scheduled to be ready at 3:15. By the time I went to the counter the young lady told me she just received the order and it hasn't been sent to the kitchen, yet. She told me it would be 25-30mins because everything is made fresh. Over 45mins later my food was still not ready. Numerous people came in and had been waiting for almost an hour. After I received my food and looked at my order, my greens were cold. Chicken unseasoned and overcooked. Hopefully this was a one-off for them.

My cousin and I were driving through on our way back to Philly and decided to stop by to get some soul food and chileeeee were we satisfied! First we were welcomed by the sweetest woman! She made us feel at home. We were given amazingly warm cornbread with this honey and butter drizzle ... Jesus! Next, a homemade chicken soup which was packed with flavor all before our meal came out! I had the oxtails with rice and peas with three sides (because I like to eat): Mac, yams and greens. My cousin had the lamb chops with shrimp. Needless to say we were very satisfied! Highly recommend

The food was good. The service was good. You have to try the catfish nuggets and the fried chicken. I will definitely return.

GREAT FOOD! Slow service!!! Hopefully they can get a better system going but for now it's about 50/50 if you'll get your food in a decent amount of time. But the food is top notch I have to say!

I am stuffed! I was craving soul food and glad I found Dakari's. The catfish was fried perfectly, the seafood salad was creamy and well seasoned, good greens, grandmama's sweet potatoes, delicious cornbread with honey, homemade half & half. The wings were tender and hot, fried just right. I can't wait to return.
