“I had to come on here and write a review. This isn’t just the best Thai around. This is the best restaurant in southern Maryland. I’ve been coming here multiple times a week and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything is good. Today I got the soup and it was perfect for a cold winter day. The chicken is fantastic! The crispy pork is to die for. I love this place. The owner and his wife are the nicest people in the world and make you feel so welcome. A really hard working couple and an amazing atmosphere. I’ll continue to be a regular!“
“This place is just amazing. I went for my first, but definitely not the last, visit to this restaurant today for lunch with my daughter. The Spring Roll appetizer was excellent, and the Duck Sauce for dipping tasted freshly made. I had Eggplant Basil, my daughter had the Mango Curry. Both were wonderful. The service was great too. Be sure to give this place a try if you're in Solomons. Well worth it.“
“I adore Thai food and Sawatdee doesn't disappoint. On 6/29 we ordered Carryout - everything from Pad Thai, traditional Noodle Soup with chicken w/spice level 4; and another beef & veggies dish. The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection. I knew I'd return to try other dishes. Today, I dined-in and had the fried egg rolls (filled with carrot, taro root, bean noodle a d pork) with a Thai dipping sauce. They were crispy deliciousness. In fact I had to force myself to stop at 3. Entree#1 was the Thom Yum Noodle Soup (tomato based soup, with rice noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, peanuts & chicken). This soup would be amazing with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I don't generally order red/tomato based soups, and when I saw it almost didn't try it. Glad I did as it was light and packed with flavor. It'll make a great pairing for lunch tomorrow with my peanut butter sandwich. Entree #2 was the Sawatdee Dried Noodles with beef (rice noodles, bean sprouts, Thai basil, Chinese broccoli, topped with ground peanuts). This dish was extremely flavorful, packed with chicken, a little on the sweet side and you could definitely taste the basil and broccoli in every bite. I got both entrees with level 3 spice. This added a little heat without being spicy. Keep in mind the spice levels here go from 1 to 10. While level 3 isn't spicy, level 4 has you feeling the heat so ... be forewarned. They have a well stocked bar but sadly no one knew how to mix any of the drinks so if you want beer or wine, you're in good shape. Otherwise prepare to drink water or soda as they don't offer hot tea or Thai tea. I've enjoyed the food here twice now, both for Carryout and dine-in. Customer service here is solid and the servers extremely personable. They're updating their menus so no prices are visible which may be off-putting for some but their price point is very reasonable. Entrees $13-14 & $8-10 for the apps. Quantity is substantial and quality is excellent.“
“It's been probably over 2 years since we'd been here, not sure why, we always enjoyed the food! So my wife and I went again last night and loved it!! We started with the Curry Puffs. Never had em before, but dang they're good!!!! I had the Pad Normai. Terrific dish, a little spicy, lots of flavor! Wife had the Lad Na, not too bad. A little light on flavor compared to the Normai, but a nice light garlic gravy on the noodles. Iced teas tasted great, service prompt, priced right. Go try some Thai!“
