Ordered Brown stew chicken last night (3.20.24)...As soon as I open the container I knew I was about to get the typical Maryland Janky Service .....Nothing but Carrots, Bones, rice....You ought to be ashamed and shut Tf down...I try to support Black business and thats how Im thanked....payed $32 via Door Dash to carefully eat my Brown stew Bones....Never again...Shut your operation down b/c you fuggin suck! Find another mediocre business venture or just scam ...

Food was flavorless I ordered the jerk chicken dinner with rice peas and cabbage there were no peas in the rice and the chicken was flavorless. I also ordered six jerk wings which were dry and leftover from the day before. Absolutely disappointed for the $30 that we

I'm not sure why this place has such a terrible rating but I really didn't think it was that bad honestly it was actually pretty good if it wasn't for the very bland cabbage more on that later Here's what ended up getting Goat curry: excellent. When you get goat it will be full of bones but they didn't just give bones they gave lots of meat and gravy and I had no complaints it was cooked extremely well and goat is very hard to do well kudos to irie Cafe lol Roti: I do find it confusing that they called it roti because in my parents culture, Indian, which is where these type of food originate, the thing that they served is not considered roti but called dal puri So it is bread with a stuffing. It's excellent but was not something that I was expecting to eat with the goat curry nevertheless I have nothing to complain about it because it was excellent One of the major gripes I have as you'll see with the picture is that they put the roti underneath the goat curry and I would have preferred to have it wrapped in foil separately so that I could tear it up as I like. Maybe that's how they eat it in the Caribbean but that it just was something I didn't care for. Cabbage: extremely bland and tasteless. I couldn't take more than two bites of it. Not that I threw it away of course why would I do that? I'm going to have to modify it with my version when I revamp it but that's something I think they really need to improve on Sorrel drink: excellent I love it I would like to buy more of it if I could lol You order at a counter and it's kind of like cafeteria style It is excellent. The guy who's at the counter is very personable and friendly. Price I think is a little bit hefty however you do get a good quantity of food. I paid 30 bucks for all of the above Parking is freeing a lot. Ambiance is nice. I did not use the bathroom but I did eat inside and it was clean I wish that they had more readily available access to utensils Overall I think this is a win .I'd come again.

Great tasting Jamaican dishes from the curry goat to the delicious oxtails, the customer service was excellent and they have a nice selection of items available on the menu and you can also call in for pickup or delivery.

Chicken Soup Too Hot to Eat2nd time we’ve ordered & had to throw the soup away - too much pepper, like they wan give us ulcer! Please put pepper on the side if you must.Everything else @ Irie Cafe is delicious, well seasoned & well worth a try - drinks included (Sorrel, Cucumber ginger, etc).‘Saltfish with Bake’ needs to be an actual dish on the menu, like Yesterday.

I only eat curry chicken and it is always so delicious. And the cabbage..Although this time it was a little spicy. But over all it is very good..The togo forks are small and kind of flemsy, that it one thing that can be improved...But the food is spot on!!

The food started off not bad at all but, I found a few strands of hair in my food. Not quite sure if they just happened to bring hair back there while they were cooking and forgot but one strand of hair is already bad but to find multiple is reckless. I ordered curry chicken, with white rice and cabbage. I will never go back.

This is one of my go to spots within the DMV! I love the brown stew chicken and I always get a chicken patty and rum cake. The food is always fresh/ affordable. The juices are really good too. I wish the sizes of the cups could be bigger. Love this spot!
