“My mother was injured a serious car accident a little over a year ago and I had to take her to a doctors appointment in Pikesville, MD. We were tired and hungry and she told me to find a restaurant in the area that served breakfast and was dine in because she didn't want fast food. Eggspectation was the closest and from the moment we walked in till the time we left the staff and management surpassed my expectations!!!! From Jordan who was thoughtful enough to seat us at a table that was easier for my mom because of her need to use a walker to our waitress Ms. Fallon who just approached us and took our orders with a kindness that I haven't seen in years! All I did was say out loud that I needed a straw and a waitress who was just walking past got me a straw and asked if we needed anything else!! The manager I cant remember his name but he was also very kind and not one of his staff had an unkind word to say about him!!!! If you want a place where you can get a great meal for a reasonable price and treated like a person and not a paycheck this is your place!!!! 10 out 5 stars because Google only gives an option for 5!!!!!!“
“3/17/2024 I enjoyed my time here. My husband and i went looking for a brunch spot and landed here. I did find that the wait time was excessive, and you're not able to be placed on the waitlist over the phone or with reservations. My husband ordered the short rib hash, and i had the chicken benidict. we had the Hawaiian mimosa and the qualude, which was recommended by our server Matthew he was very nice. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Our drink was perfect. The atmosphere was okay kind of loud. The decorations were nice. They did have both indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast, brunch, and lunch options were all available all day. It was very busy.“
“The staff is always so pleasant, the food is amazing, the prices are great, the location is convenient, and they are unbelievably fast. I go for breakfast once a week -(turkey bacon, egg, and Swiss on white) the egg is cooked so perfectly and the sandwich is constructed so neatly. They have plenty of options for bread, cheese, and meat. The coffee and iced tea are always fresh and delicious. There's also several fridges with vitamin waters, Arizona teas, sodas, etc. And some racks of snacks. Ive also had their MD crab soup and it was incredible. Absolutely love this place“
“One of my better breakfast experiences that I’ve had in quite some time. The service was excellent and the food came out pretty quickly. They also had decent size. Portions a little bit more seasoning for the food but that’s mostly just personal preference and it wasn’t bad. It just felt like something was missing. Overall the experience along with the quality of the food and the pricing, this place is absolutely perfect for a nice breakfast and or brunch.“
“We love this place, we started coming since they opened, we used to go to café EZ 1 in Ellicott City, but we like this one better as has more space and more tables. All servers, and personnel are polite, always with good vibe. Food is great, they have a lot of options available. We like to come for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. But this place has all day Breakfast options. So, if you are like me, you can enjoy a great selection of pancakes at noon ?.The only thing we don't like much are the prices, but everything is expensive nowadays, right? So, I don't blame this place for rising their prices as food is 98% of the times delicious. Coffee is also great, kind of the same price as Starbucks :( but is good coffee. They have also smoothies which are also delicious and other "adult" drinks for a happy hour... Burgers, salads, wraps, all I've tried here has been if not delicious, great or good. We have never experienced any bad time.Just the heads-up, this place can be crowded, so expect some waiting time at lunch or around 9-10 for breakfast during weekends. ?Vegetarian options: Crepes, salads, etc. Vegan options as well.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“If you want to support a local family restaurant run don’t walk to Martha’s cafe. Food is fabulous ! Staff is friendly with exceptional service. The only minus was we sat in a booth and one side of it seemed like it was going to break when my boyfriend sat down. He sat next to me which was no problem , plenty of room for both of us.“
“First visit and won't be my last. Very nice place, comfy and welcoming. Very good menu selection fitting to the restaurant theme. Service was fast and friendly. I look forward to a return visit to try their other selections of sweetened breakfasts.“
“A no frills breakfast/brunch spot that is absolutely delicious and has a pretty extensive menu. Their korean options are always delicious and reliable, and I’m not sure what they do to their lemonade but it is extremely good. Good coffee overall as well and you can always find a table or not have to wait too long for one!“
“Sooooo...if you haven't been, you gotta go!!!I'm talkin' 'bout the Sunny Side Café located on the lower level of our new Lexington Market. This husband & wife-owned/operated café is definitely what's happenin'! They're young, but not novices; seriously creative, energetic, visionary, humble and determined to do business the way God leads them and gracious too!!!On top of all that...THE FOOD (the reason for existence) IS ????????? --- yes, 3 bombs, 3 stars and 3 pows for The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost 'cause He's in the mix!!!Sunny Side is really cuuute. 'Back of the house' is small, but well organized. From observation of the set-up, food prep and cooking techniques...it looks like somebody been to school! If not, they've learned alotalotalot during their journey to here. IJS...in most small settings, don't nobody know nothin' 'bout no Aioli or marinating FRESH chicken tenderloins so the tenders, with a lightly-seasoned coating...NOT breaded, and fried just right and are wonderfully moist! Great bread choices help to elevate menu items. Along with being pleasing to the eye, portions are larger than average and nicely 'plated' which is always a plus in my book!!!Eventhough I'm not a sweet bacon kind of person, my BLT really was very good and the grits were well cooked...YOU know errybody can't cook grits!!! The coffee is good and stayed HOT through the meal. My sandwich was huge, but I ATE THE WHOLE THING... and my grits and then couldn't breathe!!! ?My Honey's French Toast was the best he's ever eaten. The tenders were fabulous. The scrambled eggs did not require the usual addition of ketchup & hot sauce. I know how to cook eggs, but even mine get the red & red treatment...I'm talkin' 'bout a lot of years! The Customer Service (ALWAYS E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y important to me) is as wonderful as the food! This was my Valentine's Day Breakfast Treat; I believe I could eat this food several times a week and not get bored. They're debuting a food truck soon. ??I was told the menu is under revision and new offerings are on the horizon...IDK what they are, but I'm going back to find out!!!“
“I would give this place a 4.5 but no option. I was down the weather and wanted hot soup to open up my sinuses. Came in for chicken noodle soup but had to do with Maryland crab soup but I don’t repent it. Loads of vegetables and warm, I wish there was more crab in it, but worth the money. The vibes are of a regular American diner and you can come here with family. Do not come expecting over the top awesome food. This is comfort food.“
“Moved to Catonsville recently and this is the restaurant I have been to and like the most. Nice sorta pseudo-New Mexican cuisine (I guess) with an entirely cromulent spice level and really good portion sizes.Really nice, friendly staff too,“
