The vegetables are disgusting. Sting beans are not cooked straight from the can. Collard greens have a wield taste. Cabbage is tasteless. I've tried the veggies more than once with the hope that they would taste better, but they tasted disgusting every time. i used to like the lake trout, but that is starting to be tasteless too. I won't be going back for awhile.

Before pandemic you could eat in. Tables no longer present. Love the fried chicken wings (whole wings). Love the cornbread. My favorite sides are the cabbage and rice with gravy. All food listed is usually flavorful.

The employees always greet me as well as other people when they place their orders. Everytime I go to the westview mall I stop there to order my food before I go home. Kudos!Wheelchair accessibility: If at the moment when someone is going through the door they will hold it open for me or someone on the inside will hold it open. And if the employees can come out they will help to either open the door upon arriving or leaving.

I truly was just under whelmed by the food. The Turkey wings & cabbage had no flavor or seasonings. Gravy tasted straight out the can. The noodles for the Mac and cheese were hard & it was served luke warm. If I wasn’t running late for work and didn’t have any other choice, I wouldn’t have ate as much as I did. I usually never leave reviews but I am thoroughly disappointed. Firstly the food is bland, EVERYTHING nothing was seasoned well besides the yams. Secondly, I found a foreign object in my freaking food. Highly disgusted. Will never eat here again.

My family and I were visiting from MD and stopped by Cornbread Newark…it didn’t disappoint. The food, service and atmosphere was stellar! We will return. Kawana, Q , Staff were great!

I ordered mustard wings. The wings had a bit of mustard squirt on each one bite had mustard on it. The mac and cheese was very mediocre the yams were not traditional or as expected the entire meal was a let down. I have pictures.* I ordered the fried salmon previously which was delicious but sadly I wasted $26 on chicken what's a dab of mustard and two mediocre sides.

My bbq chicken was pink and the bbq sauce was clear!! It was soo much “sauce” all over the rest of the food. The rice underneath was soaked in whatever they call sauce. I couldn’t dare to eat it! I just threw it away in disgust!! Just a waste of money!! This place needs to close down.
