We had a great meal here. My wife's filet was one of the best we've experienced, cooked exactly as requested. Staff was attentive and friendly. Owner was all over the place. He was in the kitchen checking for quality of prepared dishes and times to prepare. He came out and sat with us. This man seriously has a passion for his Restaurant. When he was done chatting with us he went downstairs to make pasta. Although a drive from Chesapeake City, this place is well worth it.

Chef/owner, Steve, does a fabulous job with attention to detail in the food that is prepared and served. Truly a hidden gem that should be shared with others!

We went for an anniversary dinner and the place was fabulous. Great service and a great table in the front window area. Mostly local people eating there and they all said that this was the best restaurant in Chestertown. Definitely recommend it.

We love this place! Took my husband here for his birthday on New Year's Eve for brunch. It was delicious! The French toast was amazing! Helen our waitress was so much fun and entertaining and made our celebration special. They even had a birthday menu for him. It was worth the trip from B'More.

We had our reception here. Loved it so much we traveled 91 miles to get there every anniversary. Celebrated my 6 year anniversary with my wife. The owner has a great personality, and the place makes you feel comfortable with an amazing staff. The food will not disappoint you. Make sure you make a reservation, especially during the busiest time of the year. Can't wait to return to next year!

The response from the owner only solidifies this review, I had given them 2 stars, but their attitude towards customers who provide them with feedback is clearly a 1 star lifestyle. I even complimented the food for what was worth, yet I guess I'm too poor for their taste. I'll keep Taco Bell in mind next time I need a good lunch.Made a Carry-Out order for 3 people. 2 orders of the tacos and a 1/4 pound smash burger. Paid over $50 including 2 separate fry orders for the chef to "Combine to order into one bag" the 2 fry orders together barely filled the bottom of a paper bag. The Burger was small and overcooked, it was extremely overvalued for the price on it. The tacos had good taste but there were only 3 to the plate. Overall, besides the tacos, everything about this menu and restaurant seemed underwhelming. Between the 3 of us on the order, we wont be ordering here again.

We stopped here for lunch in late October. This may be a review more of the kitchen than the service -- which was very pleasant. Maybe understaffed? But it took upwards of an hour for our food to arrive -- and it was cold when it finally came. We were disappointed.

We were looking for a place to gave lunch while visiting Chestertown..we decided to try this restuarant and we were so happy we did..the food was awesome..I had a carb cake which was actually gluten free and my husband had a roast beef sandwich with fries..the fries were the best he ever had..we ended with the chocolate bread pudding which was heaven.Dietary restrictions: I was able to get gluten free crab cakes

Recently had the pleasure of dining at "The Kitchen," and I can't say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, it was exceptional.First off, the Bloody Marys were an absolute highlight. They were expertly crafted and undoubtedly some of the best I've ever had. The perfect balance of flavors made for a delightful start to the meal. The food was equally impressive. The beer-battered fish and chips were simply awesome. Crispy, flavorful, and a generous portion – it left me thoroughly satisfied. But the real standout for me was the Brussels sprouts. They were nothing short of outstanding, perfectly roasted and seasoned to perfection. However, it's not just the food that makes "The Kitchen" special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is amplified by the fantastic staff. Gary and Chrissy, in particular, were a delight. They were incredibly pleasant and friendly, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. In summary, "The Kitchen" is a great place for anyone looking for a good restaurant in Chestertown.

Worst lunch I’ve ever had. Ridiculous small portion of roast beef and it was full of fat!! Not one person out of 35 in our group could say they would come back!

Everything was so good. Several friends have recommended it, and so do we. One of the few places to eat on Sunday evening.
