I got the pecan crusted salmon and the pecans were like sawdust on top. Not impressed. The white rice was okay. I might try another dish if I go again.

Ordered shrimp tempura roll, avocado cucumber roll, filet mignon teriyaki, chicken Japanese rice, Hawaiian poke salad. We got all this as carry out, teriyaki was burnt well done inedible for $ 23.95. Hawaiian poke salad was a couple pieces of tuna and very fishy salmon with some avocado on a bunch of seaweed salad and field greens totally not worth $9.95. Maki rolls were ok but nothing special. I did not like the Chicken Japanese rice but i think that was more of a personal choice. We have been to this restaurant probably about 10-15 times. Tried to call up and get a refund but was basically told to go away, Total waste of $60 dollars. I do not recommend that you go here

First thing and the biggest faction was the noise level. Granted, it was a Saturday night but it was entirely too loud and that was the opinion with all guests, food bland, device very slow. Had to find my waiter on more than one occasion. Tempura batter away so thick and my shirt tempura had two shrimp with lots of over battered vegetables. No clue what some were... Second visit and my last.

Celebrating Granddaughter’s 18th Birthday. Green leaf is her favorite restaurant....she loves the appetizer of chicken dumplings- it comes with 4 dumplings and a dipping sauce.....she ordered 5 dumpling appetizers and ate them all ! Other orders consisted of: shrimp pad Thai, double order of California roll, shrimp tempura dinner, seafood tempura dinner, shrimp fried rice, calamari, 5 orders of shrimp Ebi, shrimp tempura appetizer & Edamame. All enjoyed their dinners.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Green Leaf last night. We happened to be in the vicinity and read an online review so we gave it a try. Great Japanese food (we did not try the sushi), reasonably priced, very clean environment and the service was pleasant. The seaweed salad was prepared meticulously, I enjoyed the Drunken Noodles entree and my wife had the Grilled Salmon Filet. Also, unless you arrive early, make reservations because it's packed with repeat customers.

As an adult, came to love sushi, and of the many places in Baltimore and north of the city (and even into PA along the 83 corridor), Green Leaf remains amazingly consistent in the quality of its sushi and other foods. There are many comparable places, but none with quite this level of consistency. A favourite sushi is Ikura, and one of the items I order at most Japanese restaurants as a bellweather of other sushi/sashimi: often, I have found, if a restaurant gets the Ikura right, there is more likelihood that other sushi items will also be quite good. (NOTE: As I am recovering from an automobile accident, my last visit was in a wheelchair.)

Recently went to Green Leaf for lunch. Was really looking forward to some Thai food. Unfortunately, while my meal was tasty it wasn't Thai. My curry was good, but lacked the depth of curry flavor (didn't taste any hint of coconut milk). Veggies were fresh. Wasn't bad, but like I said it wasn't Thai. Daughter ordered sushi. Same thing. It was technically sushi but it wasn't like any sushi she ever had (and she's had sushi all over the word). For example, the California roll was smothered in roe giving the roll a very heavy salty and overly fishy taste. She simply couldn't eat more than a bite or two. Her eel was the opposite, completely lacking any flavor. She was disappointed. The chicken yakatori was good (and saved the day because she all of it since her sushi wasn't so good). Tasty sauce. Made her happy. Ordered lettuce wraps that were on the specials board. new waitress. Totally forgot them. Overall, it was just o.k. Flashes of tasty but we felt the restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. For example, are you trying to specialize in Thai or do you specialize in Japanese... or other? Rather than do several different styles in a mediocre manner.....pick one style and do it well. We won't be back again for sushi (Sakura in Hunt Valley Mall blows it away) but we might come back and try something else.

The sushi here is the best in town and is very fresh. The specialty rolls are all unique and tasty. The service here is great and we come here often. This is definitely our favorite sushi restaurant in Maryland.

Our most frequently visited restaurant, both for eat-in and carry-out, Green Leaf offers a great menu and consistently quality food. Service is always pleasant and speedy, though it seems all wait staff care for all customers, without specific assignment. That can be confusing for customers when restaurant is busy, which it often is. All in our family are Green Leaf fans. We'll definitely keep coming.

What can we say – this is our favorite Japanese, Thai and Asian restaurant. It is located in the Shawan Shopping Center. Don’t let the location deter you - you are in for a real treat if you dine here. The staff is always so welcoming and attentive. There is a Sushi bar. The restaurant is not large, so reservations are a good idea. They have an extensive menu offering appetizers, salad, soups, entrees, Green Leaf Spa menu, sushi and sashimi, maki rolls and specials. We always enjoy coming here.

Have been working in the area and go into Green Leaf on a regular basis. Never have had anything but an excellent meal. They don't have a liquor license, but there is a wine store in the same plaza that I believe also has beer. Good mix of sushi and other asian cuisine. Definitely recommended!
