I do not know if Proteus is a great bike store with an excellent coffee/espresso bar or an excellent coffee/espresso bar in a great bike shop. Either way it is worth going in for a look and a taste. The coffee/espresso bar also has fresh baked goods from a local bakery. The barista was friendly and skilled.

My new coffee place for sure. The person making my coffee was incredibly cool. They have pride flags and trans flags. They clearly support local businesses to support their own. Love it <3

Best latte, ever!! The espresso is rich, dark, and intense (in the best of ways). yummy! I drive aways, so I can enjoy Proteus Brews coffee.

Cute cafe inside a bike shop. Customer service was great and I loved my chai!

Of course Proteus is the best place to buy a bike in the region, but it's also the best place to get a cup of coffee and a baked treat! We stopped there as a pit stop on a recent century ride and had coffee and a peach raspberry muffin that was fantastic. My coffee order is simple (drip coffee) but you can still taste the quality and freshness of it. If you're doing a long ride or just live in the neighborhood, this is the perfect place to stop!

I was hoping this would be something special that I could often frequent and support. But there isn’t any artistry or care in the cappuccino. It’s the same forced out, over frothed drink you can get at any Starbucks (to be honest, it might have been worse than Starbucks).I’ll go back to try the pastries soon. I really hope they continue to improve because I want them to succeed. I’d love a place near home where I can get a skillfully crafted coffee.Update: The pastries are delicious. The seating area is cozy.

Top notch coffee shop in a bike shop! Yes, it’s true…in a bike shop. Proteus Brews is in Proteus Bicycles. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient. My husband loved his latte while my favorite is their special Chai Tea Latte with almond milk. Much better than the chain drinks. And, the pastries are divine! We were very happy with our experience at Proteus Brews. It came highly recommended by our daughter who lives in the area. She knows how to pick a great spot!
