Been here twice and I have to say this place is not bad at all. Their lunch special is definitely well worth it. I work right on UMD's campus so this is a great quick place to walk to for a lunch when I want to spoil myself a bit. The first time I came I ordered their 2 roll lunch special. My friend got the 3 roll lunch special and she couldn't even finish it. We were both surprised how full we were from these rolls. They are definitely smaller than a normal roll but for about $11, you can't beat it. I got the salad on the side and their dressing was so delicious. It was a sweet ginger dressing and I wish I could have the recipe because I would love to make it at home. The next time I went I got the honey sesame chicken lunch special. I wouldn't say it really tastes like honey or sesame, but it mostly kind of just tastes like orange chicken. Personally I really liked it and it was good enough for two meals (there was a ton more chicken under my rice). That whole platter was only $8 so again, such a great place to get bang for your buck. Their service is decently fast, but if you come during lunch hour definitely expect a little wait. If anything, just order online first. I will definitely come back - especially for those rolls!

This place is a hidden jem! With a fresh sushi bar and diverse menu, there is so much good food to choose from and the prices are really reasonable!

This is alright for an American-Chinese restaurant. It's definitely not gonna be as good as the ones in more established areas like Rockville, but it's certainly good enough given its convenience. Prices are very reasonable, and food is prepared exceptionally quickly. A lot of the dishes are hit-or-miss, with the hot and sour soup being the biggest letdown. I'd recommend just the general tsos from the Americanized menu, and then the chili beef/fish or Dan Dan noodles from the authentic menu. The sushi menu is to be steered clear of, but the Thai fried rice is surprisingly a hidden gem. Bonus points for staying open a bit later than other restaurants around campus.

Ordered through postmates and asked for extra soy sauce and utensils since I was at a hotel. It came with no soy sauce at all and no utensils.

ordered takeout and the service was pretty slow. we ordered a beef bento box and chicken drunken noodles. the drunken noodles did not taste like how they were supposed to at all. they were definitely spicy but besides that there was no flavor and especially no basil flavor which is what drunken noodle is known for. the beef bento box was average but nothing special. i wouldn’t come back here. the taro bubble tea with tapioca was good but not cold.

The Thai green curry and the the Pa ki mao or the drunken noodles are amazing here!

If you’re in the College Park area and looking for a quick bite to eat, check this place out. They have a huge menu with Chinese, Thai Japanese and sushi and everything is delicious.

I think I've loved every item I tried from Shanghai Tokyo Cafe. In Canada, Asian fusion amongst fast casual is not often seen so I was very skeptical. Shanghai Tokyo Cafe does a great job at its price point at a diversity of items. The lunch special is very affordable and great value.

First time trying this restaurant. Avid sushi fan. Ordered for pickup from BeyondMenu app. We ordered (amongst 3 other things) a spicy tuna roll. That spicy tuna roll was not provided. Instead we were given a normal tuna roll without any spice. We contacted the BeyondMenu app as suggested in the order email. The app apparently contacted the restaurant who then accused us of lying! So... I didn't realize that tuna roll was meant to be hot due to gaslighting... This restaurant's food was mediocre to begin with, prices pretty normal, and the customer service apparently atrocious. With lots of sushi options in the area (even across the street, basically!), why would I ever return to this one?

the food here lacks flavor and when i ordered the pineapple chicken fried rice they gave me white rice with unseasoned chicken and chunks of pineapple. there was no taste to the rice at all and was a complete disappointed. this was my second time ordering from here and definitely my last.

First time coming here. I was looking for a quick snack and decided to come here. There is parking in the back for $1 an hour. I ordered a New York roll and a veggie spring roll. I waited not even 4 minutes before my order was ready. Loved it and will return!

Absolutely Flavorless sushi.. and I've tried A LOT of different kinds of sushi. Customer service was awful! Place is dirty and the women's bathroom was out of order so I was forced to use the men's!!Never going back, this place should be shut DOWN tbh ??

It's hard to believe but true that a business wouldn't want your business. Upon walking in, I was the only person in the restaurant clearly looking to place an order and attendants just kept walking away, pointing to others to take my service, and when they did, again unprofessional and rude. No matter how delicious the food may be, it can't compensate for the poor service and lack of basic courtesy.

This place would be my go to for Asian cuisine because the food is delicious! But the service is HORRIBLE. I placed my onlne order at 8:11 pm, made a stop on my way to the restaurant and still had to wait over 45 mins to get my order after I got in the restaurant. I did not get my food until 9:20pm. Over an hour after placing my online order. They need to fix that. I'll go back after they do.
