The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. They really treat you like royalty here. The Rasmalai comes with 2 pieces, but since we were splitting it with 3 people, they were so kind to give us an extra piece. They even gave us complementary champagne after our meal.

I love the ambience and the service at Royal Taj. They are really great for upscale dining and parties. However, I have to say that the quality of their food went down within last few years. It used to be absolutely delicious but nowadays it doesn’t taste that great. It’s a shame that these days I have to select between amazing service and mediocre food. Five years ago this wasn’t an issue the food was yummy but not anymore :-(

I cannot express the delight and joy and catering I felt when I ate at Royal Taj today..the service was impeccable! I couldn't drink my water fast enough before it was being refilled to make sure I didn't have to wait and the staff are personable and it truly felt they cared. I felt like a QUEEN ? eating at this restaurant! What a beautiful place, inside and out! Can't recommend more!

Wow... Unbelievable. Every part of this meal was amazing! The food, delicious. The atmosphere, decadent yet still warm and comfortable. The service, best I've ever had. We felt so welcome and well taken care of. Probably the best Indian meal I've had, cannot wait to come back.

I started visiting this restaurant when I first moved to Columbia, and it would have been great except that whenever I went the owner kept assuming I was on work lunch hour and would ask me about work. It was such a turn off that he assumed that because I was going there myself in the middle of the day I must be a workhorse. It also confirmed that he’s a feminine energy guy. Whatever the situation his behavior was offensive.To top it off he assumed I’d need more coffee to go back to workhorsing, so he’d always give me a to-go of it clueless that I’m not allowed to have coffee and in fact am in Columbia for medical issues to rehab long COVID and mourning a massive death. If not for that the food was ok and the ambiance would have been nice. The food is so expensive you’d think the owner wouldn’t be such a presumptuous jackass.Thank god my place is set up now. I can cook and eat at home now. I wouldn’t go back because he can’t backpeddle the negative interactions. Hopefully he has a real job. Maybe I should have given him some tampons and lipstick on my way out the door. He’s so obviously married to women fitting into boxes based on appearance I should have returned the favor.I guess a restaurant is more than the food.
Royal TJ is the absolute best. The service is top notch, the cuisine is excellent, and the owner hugs everyone and let's you know that you are family. I've never been to a restaurant that has better service.

Taj Columbia restaurant in awe of service and quality yummy food :Taj Columbia -is a restaurant in Columbia and Binda is the owner, a Punjabi. I have been there many a time these past six years and I observe things very close . From what I have experienced one of the few restaurants that go above and beyond to please their customers. Kudos to their hardworking staff, I am sure they adore their boss to do such a magnificent job. Treat your employees well and see how they go an extra mile !!Mr Binda is a workaholic seems like , he is dedicated and disciplined. I spend time talking with him every time I visit, to understand how much he sacrifices to be successful. It means to forgo simple pleasures and work hard !! And of course he is way too humble.Binda is an inspiration to me as well not to slack and work hard. ?

We came to town for a wedding and stayed across the street from The Royal Taj restaurant, we ate there three times frequenting it each and every day of our blessed stay.One cannot capture how truly majestic this restaurant is with the written word alone. But can we even call this place a "restaurant?" The Royal Taj experience surpasses contemporary notions of a "restaurant."The food is transportive. From the flavors to the textures their dishes breathe life into a world that would otherwise be mundane. Dishes appear ceremoniously on polished trays with the most tentative, kind, witty, and spectacular waiters you've ever encountered. I'd prefer to call them sages, for better accuracy. They guide diners to another time and place.Drinks? Anything your heart desires and what you didn't even know you longed for stands proudly on their shelves. It's the most impressive and prodigious alcohol selection an Indian restaurant has ever had and likely rivals any bar in the world, or universe for that matter.And the interior, my word! The chandeliers, art, and table wear culminates into an aesthetic that transcends elegance. Here, you are the Raj.I mustn't tell all their secrets, so when it comes to their service, you must discover the enchantment first hand. They treat me better than my family--and I know what you're thinking, but yes I have a wonderful family. It's just that the staff at The Royal Taj Restaurant have surpassed them.My review must conclude because it's a finite thing unlike the vastness that is The Royal Taj Restaurant. They are an inspiration to humanity and are deserving of every accolade available in all languages spanning the globe. If I ever sire a child, they will be celebrated with the name, TAJ!
