First, I'll say that this place is gorgeous! The houses that you pass on the way to the restaurant are huge, so that was a nice drive up. We arrived for Easter brunch and were told there was no reservation for us, even though part of our party was already seated. A relative had to come meet us in the front since the hostess wasn't helpful. Then after we sat she came to the table and questioned us being there. Go figure. The food was average. The bacon and waffles were yummy. I might be open to coming back for dinner on a less busy day.

Myself and 3 friends visited on Saturday, March 30th for dinner and there were some hits and some misses. Our server Maggie was nice but missed a few of our requests. We all had the strawberry basil smash drink which was good and sweet but not strong. For appetizers we had the mussels (very good - sauce was delicious), crab dip (good but very loose/watery), cobb salad (ok but had to return to kitchen for missing requested onions and brussel sprouts (asked for glaze on the side but the glaze was on the bottom of the bowl). For entrees we had the jerk salmon (salmon was good but the rice was overcooked and lacked flavor), the beef brisket and scallops with linguine were both very delicious. For dessert we had the blueberry bread pudding (one was requested as plain without blueberries but came out with the blueberries - the ice cream was good) and the smith island cake which was just ok. Overall our visit was just ok.

Good hole in the wall, and GREAT grilled shrimp sub. I didn't know how much I missed seafood before I went here.

My eldest grandson and my youngest daughter always join me with our monthly lunch outing. This month we chose the turn house due to last month it was booked solid. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service however we didn’t enjoy our food so much.I had the shrimp and grits. My grandson asked me where were the grits, which I guess was due to so much gravy you couldn’t see them.My grandson chose chicken and waffles. It came with potatoes. He didn’t enjoy anything at all. He said the potatoes were too hard where it could hurt his teeth. He just didn’t like the chicken. The waffles were too sugary. The dish my daughter ordered was the Benedict with salmon. She said the hollandaise sauce taste like mayonnaise. Her drink which was a mimosa taste more like a wine.My grandson enjoyed his orange juice.I had the sangria which was good.I love good hospitality.Roberto was good and Chase one of the managers checked on us initially but didn’t return.I heard him check on the ladies sitting at the table next to ours where they were sharing their concerns to him.
