Great place for chili dogs, my dad used to go with his parents since the 50’s and now me and my family are still going whenever we are in the area. I highly recommend Coney Island, everyone there is so polite and welcoming.

Great place! The quality to price ratio is insane. $2 dogs with the works! And they're delicious, easily worth more than the price you pay. One thing to note is that they are cash only. My first time here I didn't know that and before I could even get my wallet out to pay, my dog was done. Since I didn't have cash they just gave it to me. Super nice and not the least bit expected. I've been back a few times since and of course bring cash, plus extra to leave a healthy tip. Get their signature dog with the brown mustard, onions, and chili. The fries are great, too. I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet because this is my go-to place when I'm craving a quality dog and so I don't show up here to order a burger. But I'm sure whatever you order will more than satisfy you. Some reviews are pointing out the small sized dogs. They're small but not "bite sized". They're an "okay" size, just don't order only 1 and expect to be full. But these people saying it's expensive??? Absolutely not. Yeah the dogs are on the smaller size but they're $2 with everything. If you won't be full with just one, get two or three! Still a bargain and now your belly will be full. Where else these days can you get good quality, tasty food to fill your stomach for $4-$6? Nowhere else that I can think of.

Love the food and atmosphere...I'm Always welcomed with a smile and friendly greeting. The food is always on point and hot and fresh. Even with the maze downtown, I still make my way to get my dogs...always a bonus when when you get a chat with the boss man!

Although they are only open for takeout, loved the atmosphere and quick service. The hot dogs are excellent, though have created an internal family rift over who has the best chili sauce: my husband now proclaims here at Curtis' is better than that at my beloved Hinton WV Dairy Queen. We will have to try again to say for sure.Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the hot dogs and milkshakes. No complaints today!

Interesting place. Cheap burgers and hotdogs. Pretty tasty. I got the impression they are used to catering to locals, and kind of expect you to know what to order before walking up to the window. The only guy working was pleasant enough, just not overly friendly. Not at all rude, but maybe not too excited to be working on a cold afternoon, two days before Christmas. The food was made quickly, and it was hot and tasty. It looks like they closed the dining room at the beginning of the pandemic, and three years later still haven't opened it back up. I imagine it never will, which is a shame because that was a big part of the historic appeal to me. Without that, it's kind of like a food truck with a ten square foot griddle and cash register. But they did have a tented outdoor area with a propane heater, so that was nice.Overall, a decent experience and worth checking out if you're wandering around downtown.Vegetarian options: This is a hotdog stand. It's not for vegetarians.

I traveled to Cumberland MD for business. If it was a Monday I would usually go here. I was told they had their dogs made for them. And was told brown mustard was the secret. Loved them. Sometimes I would get them to go back to the Fairfield Inn to eat and get some work done. They all never made it to the hotel!

It’s cheap, $1.75/dog. But what was the meat sauce he put on it? Wish there was more hot dog less bun. Overall an iconic local flavor. Nice people. Stop in and try for yourself!
