I purchased my daughter's first birthday cake. It was Alice in Wonderland theme and turned out beautiful. It was also the best cake I have ever tasted. Everyone at the party raved about how delicious the cake was. I would highly recommend!

I reached out to Jennifer's Desserts to schedule a consultation and tasting in hopes to find the perfect wedding cake baker for my upcoming wedding in Cumberland this November. I didn't even get my foot in the door or the chance to meet her face to face before deciding against having her service us. Her website is very detailed about pricing and the process of scheduling with her. I called her to schedule a consultation (which is free of charge) and a tasting that is priced at $25 per her website. I also confirmed that with her over the phone. She advised me that she was too busy in the coming weeks to have a formal sit down consultation, but I could come pick up tasting samples from her in LaVale and have a "texting" consultation. Now I was thinking this isn't what I really prefer but okay she's busy. So we scheduled for a Saturday morning to pick up tastings. We had to wait around all day until about 3 o'clock for her to tell us she's ready. And it just went downhill from there. As we were on the way to meet her, she texted me stating "the total is $50". Fifty dollars for 3 sample bites when she and her website confirmed otherwise!?!? So I obviously responded stating that and she immediately went on the defense: "They've been that price for some time now", "I don't control rising gas prices or ingredient prices", "I’ve put two hours of work into this", and so on. As if any of those reasons are the fault of the customer or the responsibility of the customer. Being a small business owner myself, I completely and entirely understand that time is valuable, supplies are not free and I understand the impact inflation has on a business. But going straight to defense and deflection mode is a HUGE no no! It makes any business look completely unprofessional! Any mistake or lack of your own business management should not become the customers responsibility. Good business would have been to at least honor the advertised price. I also thought the "rising gas prices" excuse was laughable. I drove 3 hours to pick up these samples.....I'm VERY aware of the rising gas prices as I had to fill my tank TWICE to make this trip. Her time is valuable, but so is mine. This was entire waste of time. Her behavior was just completely unacceptable. The point here is that the price was not the issue, it was her poor customer service, lack of communication and unprofessional demeanor. I couldn't see myself working with someone who makes last minute changes for such an important event. It gave me every hesitation in booking her. It's truly a shame because her work is beautiful, but that attitude is not! Hopefully she'll take some pointers to create a better experience for future potential customers.

We stopped here for a bite to eat. I asked what was good, and the server said the blueberry/granola French toast was good. It was delicious. loved it! Thank the cook for me because it was really good! And my Husband had a egg scramble with sausage and potatoes, which was a large serving and good too.

Stopped in on 12/22/19. Was on the area for my birthday and wanted to eat local. I’m glad I tried CM. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was my first time, which I told the cashier. It would’ve been nice for her to just say, “order and pay at the counter, we’ll give you a number and bring your food to your table and sit wherever you’d like”. I felt like I had to continue to ask the simplest of questions. With that said, I ordered the French toast with sausage. I normally don’t order French toast, but I’m so glad I did!!! It was probably the best I’ve ever had and it was served with warm syrup. I cleaned my plate. Deliciousness. The next time I’m in the area this will be my go to spot....for French toast of course.
