Mise en Place serves some of the best fine food Cumberland has to offer! Their rotating menu provides both classics and unique twists on French cuisine. BYOB for the perfect night out. Would give more stars if I could!

It's not a restaurant per se, in that they don't have set hours, more of a supper club. Their weekly hours and rotating menu are posted on their Facebook page and should be checked ahead of time. Reservations are recommended. The food is gourmet and delicious every time, and while the price is commensurate, I've always had a great meal and friendly service. They add a great dining option to a community with a paucity of such so I hope they continue to thrive.

Note: this place is bring your own alcohol. They don't serve alcohol. The food is pricey, but expertly prepared. The decor is shabby chic, could use a bit of sprucing up, but cozy. The food is excellent. The bread was amazing. The menu changes regularly, we had the steak, tuna, and risotto. All very good. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We were driving through and were looking for a nicer dining option. This is an interesting restaurant that seems a bit out of place for the town it's in. Let's start with the good. The dishes are creative and the restaurant seemed busy. The place had a nice, quaint vibe and our server was friendly. There were good flavors on some of the items (truffle sauce, steak sauce, and strawberry dressing). As for the OK...this place is BYOB. There aren't many options in town with much selection if you're a wine drinker. We tried a seedy liquor store nearby...no. The restaurant across the street they recommend has a few bottles of to-go wine, but nothing special. Now the bad. The service was super slow. It took almost two hours for us to get our main dishes, despite the place only having a handful of tables and only a few of them filled by the time our food arrived. To top it off, the most expensive item on the menu (a $55 Delmonico) was cold. I didn't say anything because I was super hungry and couldn't risk another long wait. We skipped out before dessert for the same reason. In short, this place has potential, but misses the mark. It's probably as busy as it is given the dearth of options nearby but in a town with a more thriving restaurant scene, it wouldn't last too long.

If you are in Cumberland you must check this place out. Menu changes all the time and is made by a classically trained French chef. Byob with no corkage. You will not be disappointed everything we had was amazing and the owners are very nice.

This place is a gem. When visiting relatives in Cumberland we have eaten there several times. Great menu, friendly staff, and great food.

I feel this is currently the best place to eat in Allegany County. It is a New York-caliber French restaurant experience available in a small town. Yes, this is a small French, BYOB restaurant - so please manage your expectations accordingly when it comes to time and price. I personally feel both are more than made up for in the quality of the food.

Another enjoyable visit - especially since everyone brought a bottle and our late reservation enabled us to "hang" without inconveniencing any waiting guests. My lamb shank was done to perfection and everyone else said the same about their choices. Of course, having Mr George T Stagg along made everything so much better!! The Friday night "sing along" was certainly entertaining!!! Looking forward to our next visit.

Very slow, overpriced, im talking like 60.00 70.00 dollars a plate overpriced. Make sure you bring plenty of alcohol you'll be there awhile!
