“I am a seasoned wine drinker and I thought for being local MD wines, the quality of the wines were great. The Unoaked Chardonnay, single varieral Merlot and 4th Edition Chimera (bordeaux blend) were my favorites. Staff was helpful and laid back. We had a relaxing time sitting outside enjoying out flight and enjoying nature and the warm February sun. Bring your dog and your friends and enjoy. Definitely will be back.”

“Had the most incredible dining experience this evening at Patowmack Farm. Made even more delightful with the mocktail pairings, not a single course disappointed. Stunning scenery, cozy furnishings, and incredible service come together to ensure a truly unforgettable dining experience. Our server Michael did an excellent job taking care of us as well, ensuring our glasses never went empty while providing excellent (and impressively thorough) descriptions of each course as it was presented. A true gem; I can’t wait to return!”

“I had heard really good things about this amazing little Italian grocery which offers cured meats and cheeses, so I went with friends one day to see what it was all about…. Upon entering the owner greeted me and explained what he had to offer, many items were imported from Italy and DOP! He readily gives samples as he explains how very sandwiches and breads are made and how things go together to create meals and snacks.They have multiple rooms with various imported Italian goodies… One room is loaded with sweets, another has sauces, pastas, spreads, etc, another has breads – All are worth viewing! Then the cases up front have cheese in one and meats in the other and if you ask, he’ll let you sample!I took home some par-baked, frozen boule, which was imported. They explained how to perfectly finish it off in the oven and I have to say that it came out GREAT! Also took home some amazing tapenade and sun dried cherry tomatoes, which offered a great spread to the sliced boule! For dinner I took home a couple of their sandwiches to finish off in the oven as well: a Sopraseta and asiago and a porchetta and asiago and both were fabulous!Highly recommend stopping in… I can’t wait to return!!”

“Very good breakfast food.For those hiking the America Discovery trail coming off the river into Poolsville will nearly save 2hrs before rejoining the Ohio & Chesapeake canal. Plus you get to have a hot breakfast!”

“Dropped in for a leisurely lunch and to take care of some remote work. Placed me in a quiet corner, away from other diners. Food was fabulous. The cheesecake is to die for! A few minor hiccups with order, but it was handled quickly and with grace. Always the most telling sign of a place; how they respond when things don't go as planned.”

“I so love it here! Everyone is so nice and you can tell they really enjoy working here. Warm welcoming and quite a few options for whatever type of visit brought you in. Nice high top tables, some sofa chairs by a fireplace, a separate quieter room with couches, smaller coffee tables, and even a kids play room. “Food is pretty good. It’s a very cute place! BUT not kid friendly at all. I came here with my son who is almost 2, and they had no booster seat or high chair for him to sit in. He did manage to sit at the table, and did pretty well considering his food was at eye level.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly (no high chairs or booster seats). The chairs also have huge gaps/openings in the back.”

“It's wild to see that this place has anything less than a 5 star rating, I live about 45 minutes away and still bring my daughter as often as I can. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly, and the ice cream has always been amazing albeit I do agree it's a little pricey, but that's what you get when the milk comes from the farm right behind the building and not from a corporation.My ONLY negative review about here is how muddy the the ground gets by the slides, alot of times we have to pass on playing.Parking: Gravel parking lot, numerous unmarked spaces.Kid-friendliness: The staff has been amazing and patient with my daughter (5yo) every time we've been in, offering tastes when she doesn't know what she wants, to always having a smile and actually talking to her like she's a person and asking her what she wants.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is gravel, front entrance has a double door that can be opened, everything is on 1 level.”

“I’ve gotten assorted treats from Nikkie and her awesome team for years, but our most recent experience was by far the best. We ordered a custom cake for our daughter’s 5th birthday. I sent a few inspiration photos and my budget and let them know I also had a cake topper I wanted to use. Faith suggested a couple options in my budget that would customize it to our Cinderella theme and Nikkie helped to finalize the choices. When I picked up the cake I was stunned; it was perfect and when our daughter saw it she was absolutely enchanted. The birds and ribbons from Cinderella are one of her favorite parts of the movie, and they brought the entire thing to life. Everyone at the party commented on how gorgeous (and delicious) the cake was and we ate nearly the entire thing. My heartfelt thanks go to the entire team at Sage for adding such a memorable touch to our daughter's birthday celebration. Your skill, creativity, and attention to detail are truly appreciated!”

They have a chili that they don’t make in house. But, from what I understand, it is locally sourced and really good. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch some time!”

“Visited on a Sunday at lunchtime and fortunately they were able to seat us with no wait (total luck). Very quick and efficient service. We went with a couple of bottles of a Virginia microbrew and a 14" Sweet Heat. Very worth it (as hopefully the pictures convey). Parking can be a challenge in that part of town, but again, it's worth it.”
