Best brisket and smoked turkey around! Also had the pizza which is outstanding.

Have been going to this place for awhile now basically since it opened. The pizza is fantastic and I've eaten at a lot of different pizza places. The sauce is homemade and tastes perfect. I'll also get the brisket on occasion which is great as well, especially with some BBQ sauce (not sure why the other people complained, the sauce is right there for you to decide if you want it or not. I hate going to a place that smothers food in sauce that is average at best). On top of that the father son team that run the place are great. Always good to joke with and really friendly. Love it here and I'll keep coming back. In fact I decided to write this review because its my third time here the past two weeks and saw the rating wasn't what they deserved. PS. Get the fries! Amazing!

Not good at all got the dinner for two which was a lb of choice meat and two side and 2 drinks... I got the brisket and ribs (half lb each)... Brisket was ok but lacked season or taste of a rub of any kind and ribs overcooked and still had the back membrane on it... Collard greens looked good but no seasoning.... Big letdown for the amount I paid

Family owned & operated! Delicious food! Brisket is my absolute favorite!! Pizza is also very good with homemade pizza sauce. Located next to Aldi's in the Dundalk Wal-Mart shopping center.

Baby back ribs are so good! I couldn't imagine them tasting any better. Perfection. Mac and cheese was cold at the bottom and a small portion. They were good considering the portion and temperature. Collard greens were basic but, good. Not the best I have ever had. Fries were great. Nice golden brown and crispy. My 4 year old smashed the pulled pork. My fiancé had a brisket sandwich with onion and mustard. He said it's an 8/10 very flavorful and juicy. Half and half was watery. The lemonade was a little bitter. Considering the great prices and outstanding BBQ it's a no brainer to give it a try. We will definitely be back.

I love BBQ. I've traveled in the south and I know the best BBQ comes from little hole in the wall places. Captain Jacks is a little hole in the wall place. Sadly, the BBQ is not very good. First off the brisket is not brisket. It's shredded beef with no smoke flavor, no smoke ring, no flavor at all. They claim all their meat is hickory smoked. I really doubt that. The pulled pork looks to be right from Sysco, tastes like it too. The pork has no smoke flavor, and no bark. It has a mild vinegar taste like North Carolina style BBQ. It is rather bland. The hush puppies are not home made. They are obviously frozen and dropped in the deep frier. The beans are lacking in spice all together. I had high hopes for this place. Good BBQ joints are difficult to find in Baltimore. I guess I'll keep looking.
