Fun place. As a Caucasian, it's easy to feel intimidated by this joint. Don't be. Excellent cheeses, all sorts of chilis and peppers both fresh and canned and a lot more. Get some tacos and tortes from the cantina. Get your Mexican coke and jarritos fix here too. Sunday's they have carnitas and consume in hot pots in front of the meat counter and I'm only scratching the surface of this place. Also, about 200 piñatas hang from the ceiling for your next party.

I was advised to visit this mkt. There were wonderful veggies on sale for only $1.00 per/ lb. I purchased green beans along with other veggies.

The place is large, a lot of variety of Latin products, it has parking, they sell food of the day, the prices are affordable, in the morning it is not very busy during the week. Wheelchair access, shopping carts, the Colombian worker who served us In the kitchen he was very friendly, thank you very much for having a good worker, the other workers don't say hello, but hey, you come to buy, don't make friends with people who don't smile.

SOY LATINO AND THIS IS THE BEST SHOPPING MARKET IN BALTIMORE FOR LATINOS
Jalapeño market has great authentic Hispanic groceries and food. There are several items I usually cannot find in typical grocery stores like Whole Foods or Safeway. There is a restaurant at the side that offers $2 tacos, birria tacos, and other assorted baked breads and goods - all reasonably priced. Some store associates only speak Spanish, so if you don't speak Spanish it could be a bit difficult to navigate. However, they will find someone who does speak English, and everyone is very kind. The ambiance of the store is also great

I loved the employees wanting to help, but they didn't have the names of some foods, and / or the cheese was not in the English language ? ?. I think that would improve the overall number of shoppers who might not be able to read Spanish.
