It's nice but the menu is limited, the oysters were shucked ahead of time and dry, salmon was a bit overcooked, wine selection is limited, there was no field greens salad- only Caesar and wedge (which to me seems very 1990's). The staff were lovely and the atmosphere is nice but I think the food lags behind other local restaurants.

Absolutely wonderful! Thank you! What a great evening of food, drink and ambience! From the wine to the oyster appetizer through the steak, pork and the diner of combining an iceberg wedge and seared tuna it was so lovely. Thank you to our serve Lisa - just all around great.

Great ambience and atmosphere. All the dishes are presented beautifully with adequate portions. The farm to table ingredients are locally sourced and are prepared perfectly. The service team is outstanding. Melissa, our server for dinner, was professional and accommodating. Lisa and Alex were also supportive and courteous in the dining area. We loved the creamy chicken rice soup, seared tuna, flat iron steak cooked as requested, and the swordfish was delectable. Kudos to the Chef and staff!

I stumbled across T at the General store while staying at the Hyatt in Cambridge. My husband and I booked for Valentine's Day, intrigued by the farm to table experience and the intimate atmosphere. We were not disappointed:) The atmosphere was intimate, yet cheery. Seating is limited but everyone seemed comfortable. The menu was simple with maybe 7 or so entrees, but each paired well with appropriate sides and abundant servings. Every bite was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, (we especially enjoyed one of the staffs' family members telling stories at the bar about the history of the old general store :) ). Dessert was delicious and just enough. I was disappointed I didn't have room to try one of their specialty tea cocktails, but plan to go back one day soon. Pricing was mid range but not at all out of proportion to the quality of the food. If you're close to the T, make sure you make a stop ;)

Dining at "T at the general store" is always a treat. We had a really great meal, great cocktails and good wine! We enjoyed great service by Melissa, our favorite server. She always does a good job and this time was no different. We will be back in2 weeks. George Wilson and friends

AVOID. Stunningly BAD experience. I made reservations through their website/Open Table link for my husband's birthday. When we called to see if we could come in early, the women (2) we spoke to said they had no record of the reservation, and were unapologetic, dismissive and unhelpful in the extreme. I was told me they work for the restaurant, not Open Table and it was Open Table's problem, not theirs. Didn't care at all. Hospitality industry? Really? NEVER NEVER again.

Pleasantly surprised at how delicious the Eggs Benedict was…. cooked perfectly!! I’ve ordered this dish many times over the years at various restaurants and this was far superior than anything I’ve had. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable,… a lovely, quiet, out of the way place that I will certainly return to.

We had a wonderful dining experience at T at the General Store. The service was excellent and the ambiance was welcoming. Our server, Melissa and the server assistant, Alex , were both courteous and professional. The raw local oyster appetizer was fresh and the ham and bean soup delicious. The seafood special, spicy mahi mahi over fried rice was cooked perfectly. The short ribs are always served with great presentation and are fall apart tender. Kudos to the chef and his team. We appreciate the entire staff!

We have eaten here several times and always had a good experience with food and service. Unfortunately, there were major issues with both this time. I ordered the special pasta which was supposed to come with shrimp. The plate arrived without the shrimp. This is an error by the kitchen and the server. Was not a busy night so I don't know why this occurred. I flagged down the server who apologized. The shrimp arrived five plus minutes later again with an apology. No compensation was offered, scoop of ice cream etc. My wife had the chicken pot pie. It was so liquid that she was offered a spoon, rather than a fork to eat it. It was mostly sauce and a puff pastry with very little chicken. The chicken was small bits hardly noticeable. As we have had good meals in the past, I hope this was a one night aberration and not a trend.

The food is always good, fun staff and a great location - old general store. Chef hits it, every time.

Cute place, limited but covers all the bases menu, food was excellent. I had baked oysters and chicken pot pie as well as custom made vegan spring rolls- all were delicious! Could see where the place could get a bit noisy if full, but was just fine when we were there. The best part of the evening was our server Melissa- she was wonderful, attentive, and just a joy to have as a server.

Perfect cocktails! Perfect service. The oysters were large and flavorful. Salads, yummy. My pork chop couldn't have been better!! Mahi Mahi perfection. The only thing this restaurant needs is bread service!! Miss dipping bread into my oyster juice and wiping my plate with yummy fresh bread.

What a perfect evening...from the drinks to the apps and the entrees...even the pumpkin spice bread pudding for dessert! Highly recommend this quirky little place...consistently the best restaurant on the eastern shore.

They went out of their way to accommodate my friend and I who were both in the area from out of town. It seemed that it would be impossible to get a seat but they called me back and made a way for us. I had their pot pie and I’m very picky about pot pie in general. This far surpassed all my expectations and my friend enjoyed her as well. I loved it . I hope to come as often as possible
