This was a pretty disappointing experience. We had a larger party come in, which in a small place can admittedly be hard to fit. We were seated in the back, which was right next to the exterior door, which the workers go out to smoke, so we had to deal with cigarette smell the entire meal. The service was fairly slow, but possible. Everyone who got the chicken commented that it was incredibly dry and overcooked. The sad showing of a "half rack of ribs" we received were three 2-rib pieces from the ends of full racks which were mostly devoid of meat, and what meat was on them was charred beyond any recognition of once being pork. The texture was more like pork rinds with the flavor of scrapings from the bottom of your grill.

Great place and experience!Dietary restrictions: With allergies to seafood,peppers,tomatoes...this place did a great job so I could eat safely

Overall good but not great. We were sitting in the dining room as opposed to the lounge. Thought this would be a better option as we have little kids. The dining room needs a serious refurbishment. Missing ceiling tiles, stained walls, dusty, no hidden bus station so they just had a 5 gallon yellow bucket on the wall and I could see servers pouring everyone's leftover drinks into it as I ate. Pretty gross. Food was good. Standard old fashioned style restaurant like The Edgewater restaurant across the street. Food reminded me of standard American fare I would get when I was a little kid. Onion loaf was tasty, great onion to batter ratio and crispy instead of soggy, but wrecked my stomach. I had the ribs, spinach, and potato salad. All good although not my favorite potato salad. Too much vinegar. We had the lemon Smith island cake. My daughter also had stomach issues when she got home despite not having the onion loaf. Service was excellent and our server couldn't have been nicer. A bit unkempt though. Looked like he was dressed for working in the kitchen and not serving. He reminded me of Matty Matheson a bit. If you are looking for BBQ I would recommend chads instead. The full rack of ribs at Adams was about the size of a half rack at chads and a much better flavor with dry rub at chads.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

Quite disappointing overall.Ordered their cheeseburger & fries.Meat was, like, over ground to a wet mealy mush that fell apart trying to eat.No flavor.Bun was stale and also fell apart. Halfway through I had to eat the thing with a fork and knife. Red onions were shaved paper thin and not crisp at all. One sad leaf of iceberg. Tomatoes were a bit past their expiration, mealy and odd sized & cut rings. ONE slice of American cheese (that cost an extra dollar). Everything was kind of laid on the side that I had to assemble which meant I had to lift the bun — dismantling the sorry single piece of cheese into sections Some sticking to the bun others to the meat. Leave the bun on the side if you’re doing an assemble your own affair. The Fries were good. Thick. Crispy and fluffy inside. The coleslaw was fine. Too finely ground for my taste but fine.ATMOSPHERETable was spotless and clean. A couple of loud drunks wandering around talking incoherently to random tables (thankfully not mine) kind of ruined things too.OVERALLIf I’m expected to pay ~$18 for a burger, fries, slaw & a tea I expect much better than this. Even Arby’s has better burgers for ~half the price if I’m being honest. (I still tipped 20% as this was not a wait staff issue) I’ll never go back unless the owner responds here and says they agree these things were not right and will make corrections in the back of the house. I’m not holding my breath though. A place this old typically lose their way, have no inspiration. They get their regulars and stay afloat.I REALLY want to know what’s going on with that meat. Weird, gross stuff.

Recently I went to a private party in Edgewater and Adam's was in charge of the food. I loved the ribs and corn bread.I decided to go to the Adam's location in Annapolis and I had a great time, we ordered bbq ribs, burgers, salad, corn bread, crab dip and honestly none of us got disappointed. The waiter was a nice young man always checking about our food and drinks . Great place to eat

Pick up ordered. Nice customer service/clean carry out, however, disappointed with the food Except for the ribs and chicken. Ribs are good, chicken good. Mac n cheese and potato salad tasted sour, not much seasoning. The crab cake along with the crab dip over pretzel seemed uncooked/mushy, and the pretzel was hard. Baked beans were good. It's disappointing because I've heard this is the place to go for ribs so I assumed everything else would be a compliment to them. Maybe it would've been different had we dined in but unfortunately that's unlikely now. Best of luck.
