Discovered this gem and so glad we did.The hubby and I like to try new places at least once or twice a month. You never know what to expect with new places but let me tell you…..Harper’s Waterfront is legit.Went for brunch today. Beware……the portions are PLENTIFUL and you won’t be disappointed. We started with the Fresh Fruit Ice Bowl & Baked Brie. For 2 people…..just order 1 app. We pretty much brought the whole fruit bowl home due to the baked Brie being so amazingly big we couldn’t eat all the fruit.I ordered the Steak & Eggs. The quality of that 12 oz NY Strip….that was cooked to a perfect medium…w/ Eggs & Homefries OMG!!!Hubby ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and I knew it was a winner when his eyes rolled to the back of his head after the 1st bite.AGAIN….portions are phenomenal! We each brought half our entrees home. Definitely add Harper’s Waterfront to your list of places to visit. You won’t regret it. Can’t wait to go for dinner.

Lilli was the best waitress I have had in literally years. As a dad and young daughter moving to the area recently we eat out WAY too often and I’ve already tried dozens of restaurants in the area in the past couple months. Not only was the food, view, and the atmosphere top notch but we were made to feel important and were treated like celebrities. She seemed to really enjoy her role and she took so much pride in her work in every aspect. We are so excited to return! Best place in town ?

I treated my partner to a Birthday dinner in February! Everything was perfect! Delicious Food, Great Atmosphere and Top Drawer Service! From the GM Melissa, Chef Brian and our favorite server Lily! It was such a Great Experience that we couldn't wait to celebrate a close friend's Birthday again in March and again...Harper's lived up to everything we raved about! Our New Favorite Place!

Took some friends to experience Harper's and it was an experience. First off, we struck out several times trying to order a glass of wine, with many of our selections "out-of-stock". Why try to have an extensive wine list if you can't deliver on it? For an "upscale" waterfront restaurant the vibe was "swimsuits and cover-ups" from the "yacht" crowd. Luckily, we experienced the outdoor seating with views of Selby Bay. The food was good, with great presentations of the Brie cheese and Philly roll appetizers. The rockfish tacos were just okay. The banana ice cream sandwich was nice but the chocolate cake was more chocolate mousse than cake but both had nice presentations. All-in-all it was a nice experience but not so memorable that I will return any time soon. Here is a follow-up: I have tried to "love" Harper's as we have introduced our friends to it (3 more outings) when they come to Edgewater but it just disappoints. The service is always spotty because it's understaffed with inexperienced people with no personality. Additionally, we never go inside to eat because the atmosphere is like "banquet dining" very loud and claustrophobic. We stay on the deck opposite the bar and this Friday night (8 Mar) was the same experience. Nice view, shoddy service for average tasting food and drinks. Looks like it's time to check out Pirate's Cove in Galesville or the new Coconut Joe's for the same experience?

Harper's is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We recently moved to the area from Washington, DC, and I'd like to think Harper's is very comparable to many of the nicer restaurants we'd frequent in the city. I've always been impressed by the high quality steak we can get on a date night but also grab a crab cake sandwich and watch the sun go down on the deck in the summer. The staff is extremely friendly and are always upbeat and helpful. Drinks are also awesome. Our friends always say it's worth the trip from DC when they visit.

Harper’s has an awesome atmosphere. High end but also laid back. Normally I sit at the bar for happy hour on Wednesdays and Shauna is incredible. She’s always quick to answer questions about the menu and drinks and makes a delicious and beautifully presented drink. I try a different fancy drink each time I’m there just because they are made so beautifully. The crab dip and the duke eggrolls are always amazing also.

First off, our server Diana was excellent - she was attentive without hovering, the perfect balance. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a perfect blend of casual - bar and deck - and fancy - really nice decor. We wanted to love the food... But it just didn't quite live up to our hopes. We got two appetizers, cream of crab soup and crab artichoke dip. The soup was extremely thick - a tad too much corn starch - but it was clearly made with a homemade stock. Very nice flavor. The dip was extremely salty. And I like my salty foods. The pita was perfect, but the carrots served with it were... spongy.Dinner - we got the scallops with leek puree and roasted fingerling potatoes. We liked it, but it was topped with barbeque sauce, which we didn't quite understand. The jambalaya with pasta was really generous - packed with seafood. And some nice pieces of sausage. We will definitely be back. It's more than an hour to arrive, but we want to enjoy the evening with sunlight on the bay! And we'll try something new - we may just not have hit on our favorite here.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our experience at Harper's. Diana was a fantastic server - she couldn't have been more perfect! The food was delicious - I got the jambalaya, my husband got the prime rib and our son got the New York strip. Everything was cooked to perfection (including the sides of mashed potatoes, fingerling potatoes, and asparagus) and as I already mentioned, the service was spectacular. We'll be back!

Enjoyed "Burger Night" on Thursday night....WOW...I travel for a living and have enjoyed many a burger...this Wagyu Beef burger was absolutely the best burger that I have ever enjoyed. The portion size, the bun, the pickle and the best fries cooked to perfection. 5 stars! And the service that we received from Diana was impeccable. Again....5 stars.

Bummed this place didn't live up to expectations. I've been so excited to check it out, but can't say I'd recommend to anyone. Our service was great (thanks Diana) and the atmosphere is really cute, it's a shame the food was sub par. Ordered the scallops but the creamy leaks they describe smothered the whole dish in an overwhelming manner and then sadly they added another strange BBQ sauce over that which over powered everything. The 12oz NY Strip that was ordered rare, came medium to medium well, and also was smothered in an unnecessary mystery sauce. For the surprise $98 'market price' we got at the end of our meal it certainly didn't stand up. Would take a lot of improvement in food to return given the price point they request. That said the poutine was spot on.
