30Mar.2024My first time here and our waitress was great. Kelsey makes you want to come back and enjoy the delicious German food.The IPA’s and wines we had were delicious. The Apfestrudel(how it is on the menu)was piping hot, delicious, and the side of ice cream blended so well. It is a healthy portion.Bavarian bratwurst on a salted pretzel bun and sauerkraut was so good. I didn’t even need to add mustard. The fried crab balls were hot out of the fryer and the mustard remoulade was good. The dill pickles were crispy in every bit.Great lunch and experience. We sat out in the Biergarten. The atmosphere was superb.

My husband and I had excellent meals and service at our first visit to the Old Stein. The menu has options for both traditional German fare and American food. I would look ahead of you are vegetarian or gluten free, but overall the menu did have something for everyone. The prices are higher than some restraunts, but the portions are large and unless you are a bug eater you likely have lunch for the next day. The drink selections were also exactly what you would want in a Biergarden. We ate inside, but now that I have been there I would choose the climate controlled all year porch instead. Both areas have a great atmosphere.
Had a wonderful dinner and drinks with my wife tonight at Old Steiner Inn. If you looking for a traditional German restaurant with REAL German and cuisine then this is the right place for you. The atmosphere was great with lots of seating but you better get there early because the place gets crowded quick. We ordered the Metzger "Butcher" Platter for are appetizer and I ordered the wild caught cod and my wife got Schnitzelwich withBreaded chicken schnitzel, mustard mayo, Black Forest ham & Muenster cheese , Pretzel bun, Inn-cut fries. Everything was outstanding and highly recommend this place!

Such a lovely find! We were hungry after a visit to Beverly Triton Nature Park and happened upon the Old Stein Inn. We were delighted by the delicious food (including the Bavarian pretzel, yum!) and really friendly service. And the environment in the back is perfect with a wide open and dog-friendly area. We hope to visit again the next time we’re in the area!Kid-friendliness: A small but great kids menu plus treats like a Bavarian soft pretzel (our kid had two in addition to his schnitzel).
We are new to the area and really love the food here. The service however is a bit of a mess. They seem to do this tag team approach that leaves the guest and the servers confused. While I can appreciate the team aspect having worked in many restaurants this is not good. Everyone just assumes someone else took care of things. They are so good in the kitchen. Just need to sort out service.

I love this place. It's only a few minutes from my home so I go quite often. Food is great, but a little pricey. I love that they have specials that are constantly changing so I can try something new every time I go. The atmosphere is great. The only drawback is the service. The like to use a system where you have a wait team that works a section. I go quite often and have never had great service. It seems like with their team model, it's easy for them to forget about you. I have been several times and there have been more than a few where my water glass doesn't get refilled and no one really checks on you after food is delivered. But I recently went and sat in the bar. I had great service there. So my tip....sit in the bar area is you want great service.
