Went to eat and the service the skinny dude and the "manager or bartender "gave is super bad giving racism against Hispanics , like come on now it's 2024 never came and asked us if we needed anything but went to every other table and still added 20% to a 600$ check without even earning there tip . I myself work at a restaurant get paid by earning my tips and for them to just drop the food and add gratuity to a big bill and not tell us is RIDICULOUS food was okay bt could be better definitely not going back

The guy that greeted my family at the entrance had an attitude because we didn't "call ahead" for a large party of 12 and continued to say "thank you for that" plus you get added a 20% gratuity fee without being told at the end for a "large party" when the workers don't even come ask you if you need anything and you have to get up and order everything yourself and aside of the crabs and snow crabs to not even have any meat and for the future we will never eat here again and recommend others not to either.

Not great but not terrible.....but definitely expensive! The cream of crab soup is the worst I've ever had. Not sure what that taste is - too much sherry? It did have a lot of crab but the tangy taste ruined it. The fried shrimp were tasteless which was too bad because you get a huge order. The fish tacos were a hit though!

Not sure how these guys stay in business. Poor service, food is ?.Too many mediocre places in town that are better than wasting your time

My wife eat out a lot and I have been to the crab shack about five or six times now. And pretty much every time we’ve gone the food has been pretty good. Sometimes it’s a hit and miss with certain things and sometimes some things are spot on all the time. This review is based on our last two visits. Crabs, of course are their number one thing… But this is based on other things we’ve gotten on our past two visits. On our first visit We ordered fish and oysters, and shrimp tacos. They were all very good except for the fish. A little overdone and you couldn’t even flake it with a fork and It was pretty tough. My wife got steamed oysters while I had gotten raw. The steamed were OK, not much flavor, and they were shrunk down a bit compared to my raw oysters. So we ordered another batch of raw oysters since she liked mine better than hers lol! Tacos spot on with banging flavor, I could eat them all day!On her second visit, we were a little disappointed. The oysters were great they were raw and as they should be fresh with no smell and pretty much melt in your mouth. However, besides that came with it were supposed to be corn and french fries. All you can eat. They didn’t have corn, and they shouldn’t have it on the menu because that’s what I was expecting to get until they told us it wasn’t in season. The other problem was that night only one person was running around doing everything. We didn’t get an all you can eat anything. The worst of it was the french fries. I’m a burger and fries guy and I love a good french fries. They need to be crispy, light, airy, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. These were heavy, oily, very greasy as if they were just soap and oil. I think that the fryer was not hot enough. I’ve made french fries at home and even when my french fries didn’t turn out as expected, they were still better than these. We did order a second batch just in case it’s better than the first. It wasn’t maybe a little less oily, but still felt like it was soaked in oil. Sad because I really was hoping these spies were gonna be good. Maybe next time! One thing I’ve learned about restaurants and eating out is that sometimes depending on who’s cooking or depending on how your food turns out. One night might be a bad night. Another night might be a good night, but you definitely don’t want reviews that are spotty you want them to consistent the fries should be cooked perfectly all the time then there would be no complaints. Haven’t said that, the next time I have some fries, I will definitely change my review as long as they are spot on and cooked perfectly. So my final words are, a great joint most of the time. They’ll go out in beyond for making you something that might not be on the menu. And they do turn out better than decent free most of the time. But, as the saying goes, if you don’t let someone know, something is wrong, how will they know to fix it? Have a good day.

Good food. The "bartender"/sever had such a great personality. Maryland Crab is the best crab I've ever had!

A local favorite. Been here several times mostly for lunch when they usually have some good specials on lobster dinners, oysters and other dishes. Food and service are good. Always appreciate the view of the water from almost every seat/table.

Ever since the Crab Shack opened on Rt. 2 in Edgewater I've been intrigued, but let's face it, the building doesn't have much pizzazz. Last night was girls night so we finally decided to give it a shot. First let me say it's not fancy but what I will say is the food was excellent AND if you sit at the bar you get to shoot the breeze with Scott who runs the joint. They make a mean orange crush and the prices are excellent! Great onion rings, fries and hush puppies. We had the crab legs, crab cakes and I had a crawfish boil with spicy Cajun butter that was so good. So no need to get dressed up, don't wear a white shirt and give it a try, I think you'll be pleased

Awesome in all respects. Two in our party where visiting from Los Angeles. We were treated to expertise instructions on how to open up a steamed crab.

Found this place on Google. Not worth it for what I paid for. We dined in. I spent $95 for 2 seafood boils and I tipped $15. It was kind of wierd to order and pay 1st & then be seated. But okay. When the food came out, it was served on a platter, not a bag. My order had like 3 potatoes, 7 peices of shrimp, 2 halves of corn, and 1 snow crab claw, and barely any butter sauce. We left disappointed. The service was good though.

Absolutely delighted and delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the Cajun boils and fresh blue crab. Best food I've had in a while! Like take a bite and 'Wow' good! Even the fries and hushpuppies were the best and the crab cake and lobster roll were the best I've had anywhere around here in 18 years! We're definitely going to be coming back regularly!
