Today was the 1st time that I have ever ordered and received crabs from here and was very disappointed. Not sure if they are under new ownership or what but I was a huge fan of them prior to today. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

I was visiting DC for spring break with my daughters.. so I had to drive to MD to get some crabs. Crabs good and customer service excellent!!!!

I have always only gotten crabs at j and t seafood but they were closed so I decided try this place based on reviews. I ordered 2 dozen large steamed crabs for 7:00 pm, Saturday night. Got there at 6:55 and was greeted by Nelbis (I hope I spelled his name right). Very friendly, food was already packed to go steaming hot, and when I got home, every crab was large and the seasoning was just right, not too salty and not too little. Definitely coming back here again!

Normally when I buy crabs from this location, I'm never disappointed. The guy that took my order couldn't remember the prices he was giving me. Because, he wasn't paying attention, he was having side conversations. Never had that issue. When I picked up the crabs they had a pickle smell in my opinion. Arrived home to realize the crabs are heavily seasoned, small, some mushy and some had a bad odor. I lost my appetite. After waiting so long to finally purchase some. As well as the drive I took because of previous good experiences. I'm truly disappointed. ??

Nasty manager! Nasty service! And be careful with this place! I received a threat from the manager via email because I stated I would be leaving a bad review for the bad service I received!

I really wasn't expecting much from this place but was surprised by the quality of the crab cakes. I had to cook it myself, but it was well worth the drive to get a few of these and I wasnt disappointed.

First and last time going. My experience was terrible. I ordered 2 dozen large female crabs over the phone for pickup. The person taking the order priced the order at $56 per dozen if paying cash which I was. However, when I arrived he told me $65 per dozen and that he made a mistake over the phone. So then I asked why does the sign say $56 like he initially told me. He said that the OWNERS forgot to change the sign! Needless to say I told him I would be paying the price he told me which is the same price on the sign. Not to mention, when I arrived home, there were about 6 large crabs and the rest were regular size!

Had some of the best crabs from Hard Shell. Steamed and seasoned well. Great customer service. Ordered them for my husband's birthday and he was thrilled with the taste and heaviness of the crabs with so much meat. We'll be coming back here again.

The owner told me that the crabs were very good and charged me the regular size. All I received were small and soft crabs. They didn't taste good at all. I understand that the crabs are not consistent, but to charge me for the larger size and gave the small crabs was not acceptable.

returning from Ocean City, hard shelled crabs were on my mind.Google and located Hard Shell Crabs & Seafood, I called, a friendly male answered, I asked questions and ordered in person, exlarge and shrimp. The store is carry-out only.opened the hot bag, oh my goodness, placed brown paper on the table. Delicious ? ! a definite many return.
