They use to be good but it went down hill. I just had lunch with my family today and the service was awful along with the food. The noodles came out extremely salty and we ordered a second set of dumplings but came out as the check was being signed. There was a miss understanding about one of the jajangmyun order and I feel like if it were any other restaurant they would have removed it from the check but NOPE! They kept it on the receipt and kept telling us that it was our fault while giving us extreme attitude. So I gave them a really low tip since I had to still pay for the "misunderstanding noodles" and the waitress was complaining about how small the tip was. So I ended up paying more tip than I intended. I get that I shouldn't have been pity but their attitude just threw me over the edge! Never going back to this dump!!!

This has been my goto restaurant for a really long time. Wife loves the food. We used to get a lot more food before with a full house but now we mainly get the 3 dishes: Jjajang myun, kampoongi, and tangsuyok. All three of these are my wife's favorites. The prices have all gone up from before so these 3 dishes add up to $60. I guess that's about a $10 raise or a 20% increase in the last several years. I imagine that is about usual although I have not checked other restaurants in recent years for these items. I always order through the Yelp app because my previous order is always there and I use the reorder option. I order it leaving work and it is always ready when I arrive and simply pick up and go. Transaction all complete on the app. Yeah, it doesn't get much simpler than that. Did that for Valentine's Day and I was a hero because we didn't have to trek out to a crowded restaurant. Yup, simple is good.

I ordered Hunan Beef - got only three pieces of meat hardly any vegetables and the carry out container was much larger than the portion - definitely not with $18

This is probably the best Korean-Chinese place in the Mid-Atlantic. Other places have declined while Tian has maintained its quality if not improved.Usual order is the gan-jajang and jjampong. Mapo tofu is good as well. Tangsuyuk is average, but realistically how do you differentiate yourself when you are serving fried pork pieces with goo?

We ordered black bean noodles for takeout. I called 45 minutes before closing, and the rude lady who reluctantly took my order told me to hurry up and go to the restaurant as soon as possible. Despite the pouring rain, I rushed to the restaurant within 15 minutes of placing the order, only to find that our order was not ready and people were being seated to dine in. After making us wait, we got our food and went home, only to find that they did not include the black bean sauce. They only packed plain noodles. I called the restaurant and told them what happened, and without offering a single apology, they said "just come back and pick up the sauce." I had even tipped them 20%, which I immediately regretted. I understand that mistakes happen, but restaurants also need to be held accountable for their mistakes and at the very least, learn how to apologize. For the lady to have the audacity to tell me to "hurry up" to pick up my order, and then later tell me to "just come back" to pick up what the restaurant forgot to pack - is unacceptable. No customer should be treated this way. Spend your well-earned money elsewhere!

All in all, it's a shame.

The sweet and sour pork was greasy because there was too much fat in it. The omelet rice was okay and the jajangmyeon was cheap and delicious. Overall, there was nothing special about it so I don't know if I'd go again.

3.5-4 stars for food but 3 stars overall for the price / value. This is a Korean Chinese place we go to for black bean noodle and seafood noodle soup. First what we loved about the place was they seem to have fire-taste to their food (think charcoal, but instead fire 불맛). Unfortunately a bowl of black bean noodle was a couple bucks more expensive than other places (especially if you order a large size). We ordered a bowl of large black bean noodle soup and large seafood noodle soup and the bill came out to be ~$35 including tip. We're used to paying closer to $25-30 for Korean Chinese places - and didn't necessarily feel like the place was better than other spots, so we prefer going somewhere else. If you don't care much about price value - this spot has decent food, good ambiance, and located in a convenient place (right next to Lotte Market in EC). So depending on your needs, could be the place for you! One other note about service - there was only one other table besides us and they didn't even give us a menu lol. We didn't want to rush them at first but after waiting like 10 minutes, we rang the bell and had to remind them we need to be served. Granted, they seem to be getting a lot of to-go orders, so service may be slower than you'd expect. Not dinging a star for this, but just so you are aware. For me personally, think I will drive the extra 20 min to go to Rockville and get Wang Jja Jang (cheaper, more food, and tastier).

Pretty good stuff! I don't find a lot of Korean-style Chinese restaurants in this part of the country, so this was a real treat. Really friendly staff too!

Food was just average. Pretty bad service overall. Waitress’s attitude stinks. I would rather cook ramyun at my house than eat here again.

We didn't enjoy the food. The fried rice was bland and the noodles in spicy sauce were unremarkable, with very little identifiable seafood. Service was spotty.

The food was a little bland but I put a lot of hot sauce into it. Their service was a bit spotty. They pay more attention to you if you come with a family I think. And it wasn't too quiet, but it wasn't too loud, too.

I've been here a couple times but visited again after a long time and was surprised at how good it was! We got the seafood jaengban chajang (noodles with black bean sauce), champpong (spicy seafood noodles), and pork tangsuyuk (deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce) and everything was delicious with good portion sizes.
