They have the best tibs in the Baltimore area!! However, this place is EXTREMELY conservative with their portions for the amount of money they charge. The veggie samosas are as dry as sand. It's worth it to take the drive into Baltimore or DC vs getting food from here!!!

I don’t understand why there is and has been such a significant price difference between your online menu items versus when I ordered carry out in person while looking at the online menu. Only to be surprised by a $23.22 bill difference which you at the time (January 6, 2024 @ 4:02pm) explained as being an error that you would correct. As much as that really bothered me at the time, I let it go, but it’s now a whole month later and it’s still the same???? I’d like a refund in the amount of $23.22 please and thank you.See the price difference breakdown below and yes, I still have my original receipt.Doro tibs: online price - $12.75 / I was charged $15.99Tomato salad: online price - $8.50 / I was charged $11.99Meat Combo #3: online price - $28.50 / I was charged $44.99

This spot is run by probably two people? There is a lady at the front who also helps the kitchen or cooks by herself in the back. I am unsure. The restaurant is also part of a convenience store and you order/pay at that cashier. We ordered #32 with #6, #7, & #11 as the vegan side dishes. The meat for the chicken and beef were overcooked because they were very tough. Ignoring the meats toughness, the flavor and sauce were great. The spicy lamb though was amazing. Same with the 3 side dishes. Injera bread was delicious too and I can see myself munching on many of these. I will definitely come back for this food when I crave Ethiopian food again.

Second time trying Ethiopian food and Tigi's did not disappoint. The food was fresh, tasty, delicious, and filling. Two of us splot a combo and we had plenty of food. We ordered coffee and were pleasantly surprised with the elaborate presentation. The host showed us the roasting coffee beans and it was a great cup. Google says they open at 11AM, but that might just he market opening time. For the kitchen, i would wait till after 11:30 or even noon. The service was excellent!

The food is great and they cater to vegans. The service is also good. The store sells a lot of good stuff. The ambiance is basic but it works. The prices are also good. I wish they didn't have a table right in the doorway so it weren't cold if I were to sit there.

It's a great 'hole in the wall' restaurant. People that run this place are so incredibly humble and nice. And the food is always yummy, hitting just the right spot. I hope we get to enjoy Ethiopian food from this place for many, many years to come.

Good food and service, sometimes they forget to bring you water but the food is amazing and the flavors are what I enjoy

Tigi's stands out for its commitment to delivering authentic Ethiopian flavors that transport diners to the heart of East Africa. From the injera to the fragrant stews, each dish is a symphony of spices and textures. The menu showcases the kitchen's dedication to preserving traditional recipes while infusing them with a modern touch. It's a culinary journey that leaves taste buds tingling with delight.

Would you believe this was my first time stopping in Ellicott City? I was taking my cousin out for his birthday... he didn't know what he wanted, but we came up with Ethiopian food. So we found this place pretty easily, and there was ample parking. Didn't look like much from the outside! We stepped in, and we were in a full Ethiopian market, ooooooh! We told the person at the register we wanted to dine in -- we could see the tables on the other side. We got seated immediately, grabbing one of the last few remaining open tables. It's a no frills dining space, but there is lovely art on the walls. We got menus and water, and decided what to eat. There are a couple of combos to choose from, and we went with Combo #3, which gets us a variety of tibs and we get to choose veggies too (we got greens, lentils and fava beans). Everything was delicious and filling. We had to ask for injera a couple of times, haha. The spices were there and the food was flavorful but it's not top 3 for me... but it wasn't bad at all, don't get me wrong! On the way out, I got some injera crisps from the market, and whew were they delicious -- it wasn't my first time having them, mind you. But there are few places you can find them, so I had to take advantage! Anyone in the area should definitely check this market / restaurant out.
