Uma Uma ramen restaurant in Ellicott City is a noodle lover's paradise! The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly chewy, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. It's like a warm hug in a bowl, and I can't get enough of it.

I love the food here, but my issue is the extras cost way too much and 9/10 times I don't receive what I've paid for. I've been ripped off 3 times now and I'm debating about just taking my business elsewhere since we're fortunate to live in an area with so many options. My advice is don't get any extra sides or anything extra in your main dish because they just keep pocketing the money and screwing over the customer.

We had the Shoyu Ramen, Takoyaki, and sparkling sake. The best thing was the sake, the only item they didn't make. The appetizer, Takoyaki, was okay but the main reason we were there, the Ramen, was terrible! We received the Ramen within the minute of ordering, it was warm and had a subtle peculiar unwelcoming odor. Obviously it was merely warmed and who knows how long the food was sitting back there for. Nothing within the Ramen was adequate. We couldn't finish it, I usually finish anything. We had sodas and water as well. They give you a canned soda which is great because it means it's not watered down, which I'm sure they'd do. However, it wasn't refrigerated. Room temp soda and nasty tap water.Food was terrible. Fortunately the price was fairly low, sadly, not low enough to eat here again.Service was good, very friendly and attentive.Atmosphere was decent. Seemed clean, though very dim. I liked how their bar looked and enjoyed their UmaUma sign.
The pork katsu buns are delicious and so is the ramen!

Pretty average overall. We ordered a Shoyu Ramen and the California sushi cake. Not the best I've ever, not the worst I've ever had. Limited Ramen selection (shoyu, miso, tonkatsu, shio) but pretty decently priced. Not bad.

Great service, delicious food, and conveniently located. We went around 1:30 on a Friday and it was very quiet and clean. The server was warm and welcoming and didn’t miss a beat with service. We both got tonkatsu ramen and takoyaki, both of which I highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

The place looks very nice, clean, and the service is pretty good too.but the food isn't good. I ordered the tonkotsu (correction, SHOYU) and it didnt taste anything like other places. The pork was very thin, the broth was thin and had an odd smell and it was bland. And the noodles werent the best. The dumplings were ok and left alot to be desired. Overall, the dipping sauce was the most flavorable part. I didn't finish the bowl and didn't take the leftovers because they were terrible.

TL/DR:1. Stop handing customers utensils and plates for them to arrange themselves.2. Stop giving customers tap water, it tastes disgusting. One will automatically assume you are cooking with it, which I can tell you did.3. Don't prioritize your expediency in sacrifice for the customer's experience - think long term.4. These simple issues will prevent repeat customers. Fix it, please.----We are paying for service, not to work.In Japan, service is part of the meal, along with presentation. The customers will appreciate someone premptively placing the necessary amount of utensils and tableware.A simple measure in business analysis is "How you do anything is how you do everything." If you even bother to use filtered water or bottled water, than you are most likely cutting corners elsewhere.
