I drove past this spot for over a year and kept telling myself to stop there. I’m glad I finally did!!! I want it every day now! I got the brown stew chicken with rice and peas. Couldn’t even take a picture to post it on here, I ate it so fast! Very good!!

Reids jerk shack is a hitting Jewel in Baltimore amazing prices and amazing food a must try you will not be
Whatever u do, don't get the ribs! Something is not right about those ribs.. the texture is super weird. The curry chicken is good and the jerk sauce is good but I've never had the jerk chicken.

We all ordered the oxtails, red beans and rice with cabbage. My seven year old granddaughter loved the oxtails but my wife and I thought they could have been more tender. They did have a good flavor.

Natural born jamaican myself and all i can say is - it only took one bite of the jerk chicken for me to truly taste home!!!! Best you’ll find in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. Big Up!!!!
First timer... the location is small. Has I think 2 small tables to eat. I recommend you take out. I ordered online, however my food wasn't prepared when I got there so I had to wait a few minutes. I ordered the ribs platter with veggies and peas and rice with a side of plantains. I do not recommend plantains, the rice and peas was dry, need some kind of sauce to go over it. The veggies were good and the RIBS WITH THE SAUCE WAS EVERYTHING!!! I will go back to try other items on the menu.

As you can see I eat here often. I'm from nyc where the West Indian/Jamaican food is authentic and of high standard to those who eat it. We don't play out our West Indian cuisine. If it's not like back home I will never return to the establishment. I was recommended to this place after having a conversation about missing some GOOD Jamaican food. This place doesn't miss!! Every meal, every dish is always consistent and well cooked. The jerk chicken is AMAZING and they do not charge extra for oxtail gravy on the rice unlike other establishments. The place recently opened and they seem to be doing VERY well. Food is prepared when you order so you can expect maybe a 5min wait at most unless they are currently making what you're ordering then obviously you'll have to wait a little longer but it'll be FRESH/Hot off the grill. The place isn't that big but they do have 2 tables inside for seating if you wanted to eat in. Summertime they have tables outside with a lot more seating available. I would recommend anyone is the Essex, Dundalk, middle river or Rosedale area to try this. Heck I live in Towson and drive all the way over to Essex just for my food from them lol.O yeah the owner is there most of the time. Says a lot about a business when the owner actually works there and cooks also. He might make your plate or be in the back cooking up that amazing jerk.

The food would be better if you guys would use a different rice. The rice is always hard. Please try a different type of rice. What you use now is taking away from the food.
