CLOSED: Sue Island Grill is under new ownership, and they'll be reopening as McFaul's Oyster & Reel, hopefully November 2022. At least that is what I was told after driving all the way here. It seems all the webmasters left during the pandemic, because restaurants have not updated their hours, or in this case, if the venue is even open. This used to be a fun place-- several times I brought out of town guests to introduce them to eating crabs on the scenic waterfront patio, and I've also arrived via paddleboard to have a sandwich and enjoy the laidback atmosphere. I'm sure once it reopens, this will be a lively place again-- but until then, call before you drive all the way there.

Sue Island crab house was a great place to go eat crabs on the water, listen to live music, and the people and waitresses were always wonderful.I’m disappointed that it closed now. Does anyone know when and if they’ll be reopening?

Went to this venue for this high voltage band I follow and by far this is the worst pos venue I have ever been too. The food was so nasty dog food would have tasted better. The service was beyond horrible. The put all the the tables together they didn't give any room for the band to preform. I feel bad for the band to play in a venue like that.

Been a while since I was here and glad I came back! The crab dip was amazing and the service wonderful. Definitely returning soon.

Went there for a car show and decided to try the food. Where do I begin, we had the best experience! Car show was cool, the pit beef and Turkey was one of the best we ever had at a car show and then the place itself.... We had Gordy aka handsome who has a great personality and excellent service skills!! The crushes are worth the money, the half and half crab soup is one of the best and the X-large crabs were insanely good especially now in October!!! Who would've thought?!?! Highly recommend this place the locals are welcoming and friendly!! Makes me proud to say this is a hidden gem of Maryland!!!

Service was the absolute best thing about this place. The atmosphere was nice. Put i was very disappointed with the food. They had a limited menu for the event and you figure the things they had on the menu would have been top notch and they clearly weren't the breading they using for anything from Mahi bites to basic chicken tenders had very little taste. What taste they did has wasn't good. My friend got crab soup with way too much shell. Another friend ordered a shrimp dish and the dish had no shrimp in it. Another friend ordered friends with her sliders and no fries came.

Had never been here before, but read about it in Baltimore Magazine as a top place for crabs, seafood and music. Was totally pleased and would go back many times. The band was great, not to loud and fun music. Service was really good, on top of all our requests, and kept the beer flowing. The crabs were delicious (although a little too much salt in seasoning for me) and sweet. Many large tables for big groups as well as small for two people. Multiple bars, plenty of seating, great atmosphere. Check this place out!
Crab cake was ok. Needs bigger pieces of meat in it...flavor was good and size was good

Just had the entire family there for drinks and crabs. Completely disappointed in the crabs, light # 2s for 65$ a dozen. Not acceptable. The wings and crab dip were awesome but for a crab house to serve that type of crab, no wonder it wasn't a packed restaurant. Service was ok, the restaurant it self smelled like a mold factory. I will never be going back.
