Myself and my family were here last night celebrating my 50th birthday. Our server was Stacey. She was seriously fantastic from the second that she came over to the table. She made our experience perfect. My husband and myself shared the Beef Wellington, and as per usual, it was the bomb amazing. Drinks are wonderful, appetizer was wonderful, we love this place❣️ No better place to celebrate ?

Fantastic dinner. The duck and dumplings were cooked perfectly. Duck was very tender pairing perfectly with the confit and gnocchi had a slight crisp and was fluffy inside. The scallops were wonderful with a nice sear. The couple dollops of sweet potatoes had a little spice to them, but not much. The chicken and waffles were equally great. The Cranberry chutney with them was a great addition. Great food, great and fast service, and comfy atmosphere even on the patio in cooler weather. Recommend getting a reservation when visiting

Can’t comment on the food, I didn’t make it that far. Due to the very small parking lot in the front we had to park in their parking lot behind the restaurant. While walking around to front I slipped and fell on the muddy foot path. I was wet and muddy, my coat, my shoes, my shirt, my pants, everything. So instead of eating there, my wife and I had to tell the host what happened, that we wouldn’t be eating there, and to also to make sure they refunded the $75 reservation charge (yes, we had to pay money to make a reservation). We spoke with the manager to let her know the situation. She said that we should have parked in one of the Dunkin Donuts spot. Which is funny because they have sign specifically stating the spots are for Dunkin customers only. Curious if the good people at Dunkin feel the same way.So instead of eating, what is probably decent food, I got my car seat dirty, drove home, washed my shoes, washed my clothes, washed my muddy bathroom, took a shower, and then went somewhere with adequate parking that had amazing food and no muddy paths.

Underwhelmed by food. The beet salad tasted like the beets came out of a jar as did the oranges-totally unimpressed. The roasted honeynut squash was equally disappointing -a mound of gloppy tasteless uniformly textured food. Overall the meal left much to be desired, definitely over rated, not worth going back for sure.

The food was good, but not good enough for the price. While we love to splurge on a nicer dinner (and we were very aware of the prices here beforehand), this was average at best. We’ve had much better meals in the Baltimore area for this price or less. However, the service was fantastic!

I have enjoyed The Local twice now in a week. Some friends invited me to brunch last weekend and I knew I had to treat my partner to it this weekend! I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict with crab cake my first visit. For dinner this weekend we enjoyed the Seafood risotto, Lamb shank, seasonal vegetable for the day (grilled asparagus) and the grilled oysters. Quality of the food was amazing. Lamb was tender and full of flavor. Vegetables cooked perfect. Seafood risotto also made perfect firm but still soft, smooth and creamy. You could see every bit of lump seafood in your meal. Service was amazing both times. We even got complimentary cornbread to share while we waited for our meal made fresh. Oh! And I'd recommend reservations sitting on the patio. I enjoyed both meals on the patio and it is set up beautifully ?
