The first and most disappointing service ever. The best treatment that was given was from the receptionist when I called to see if my mother was admitted there. She had not been admitted but she was in the waiting area. My 78 yr old mother arrived by ambulance around 7:30 pm, it was well before 8 pm on Wed Dec 27, she sat in a wheel chair until after 8 am Thurs Dec 28, in the waiting area. My mother was in terrible pain on the right side of her body, the whole right side, she could barely move without it being extremely painful. They took her vitals and gave her some Tylenol which did not address the type of pain that she was in. It was explained that vitals are what kind of dictates the urgency, I understand that, but I also know and understand that age plays a factor and to sit for 11- 12 hours in a wheel chair is totally unacceptable. My brother was there with her, when he tried to ask questions or was able to ask a question, he was ignored or basically given the run around instead of someone taking the time to explain ANYTHING to him, he watched people that were there for 3-4 hours get called back to be seen. I can imagine that the staff there is under a lot of stress because of the circumstances with patient overcrowding in the waiting room. Regardless of that, they are there to provide a level of common courtesy, people are there with their loved ones and they are there because they need to be not because they want to be, giving them an answer even on they do not want to hear is better that blatantly ignoring them when they are trying to get your attention. My brother started asking for numbers and making his presence known all while still be respectful and tactful. This got him on the phone or in front of the right person and was able to at least get my mother seen. We all will grow to be Seniors, GOD willing, and at one point in our lives we have had to take our loved ones to the hospital, even the workers at the hospital, it does not feel good when you have to watch a loved one sit in pain/discomfort for 11-12 hours with no insight on ANYTHING, the medical center as a whole failed. Thank you to the few people who displayed kindness and was able to get things moving.

Dr. Smith is amazing. She actually cares and it shows. She doesn't rush and answers questions. Her attitude is upbeat. By far the nicest doctor I've dealt with in years. Her assistant is wonderful as well. I wish we hard more doctors like her.
